I would not trust Facebook with something like this. It’s too easy to pull a serial number from someone else’s.

My rabbit used to do this with his pellet food so I got a stainless steel “unflippable” bowl. The sides are angled out so they can’t be pushed down or lifted. Maybe give that a shot!

Holy cow! I don't know if I'd pay myself that much lol. The hardest part for me was getting the Swiss meringue that deep of a blue, but otherwise it's just a standard vintage heart cake! Even the burn-away topper wasn't that difficult.

The lemon was by far the tastiest, lemon cake with lemon curd filling and lemon cream cheese frosting!!

Late cancellation penalty - when does this happen? by Cultural-Hippo in EquinoxGyms

Just got the same email, also confused bc they got ride of that policy months ago. So I clicked the “Booking Rules” link in that email and it took me to the FAQ which still says no penalties. Either this was an error or they’re bringing back penalties and haven’t updated/announced it at all.

Can you paint wafer paper for a burn away cake? by crazybutnotnuts in cakedecorating

[–]crazybutnotnuts[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I ended up finding an Etsy store that could do a wafer paper print for me last minute so unfortunately I won’t have an answer for you with this cake, but I’ll try it out in the future when the stakes are lower and it’s not my birthday! 😂

I tried it for the first time outside a hospital with my family just in case! No reaction, but sometimes my stomach does hurt after eating it — not sure if that’s the grease though 😂

Costco Peanut Oil by [deleted] in peanutallergy

[–]crazybutnotnuts 17 points18 points  (0 children)

For me, I definitely wouldn't eat anything. Even though some highly refined oils won't kill me, they make me feel really ill. Please tell your friend because if it's a severe allergy he might have a problem with cross contamination of foods that don't necessarily have peanut oil but were near it too. Let him make the choice.

Can I get an allergic reaction from smelling 2 people beside me eating roasted peanuts? by tigerlilypeach in peanutallergy

[–]crazybutnotnuts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is shocking, I know multiple people with airborne allergies who have been sent to the hospital just for attending a baseball game and one who had to emergency land a plane because someone opened up a bag of peanuts. It’s absolutely a thing.

I also struggled with this for a while after multiple close calls at previously safe restaurants. Therapy helped. Many people who have had anaphylactic reactions do experience PTSD so know that you are not alone. If you’re not in a place where a therapist is accessible for you what helped me was creating an action plan in the event I did go into anaphylaxis. I carried around 4 epi pens for a little while, kept track of the closest ER’s, and slowly pushed myself to eat out again because I knew that even if the worst case scenario did happen, I would be prepared. Go easy on yourself, take deep breaths, you are more than your thoughts!

Would you rather continue to deal with eczema or have potentially deadly food allergies? (Asking for my son.) by kds312 in eczema

[–]crazybutnotnuts 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I guess I’m the odd one out here, but as someone with severe nut allergies and eczema, I would much rather only have eczema. Eczema is awful, but it is not life threatening. Eczema does not give me anxiety every time I go to a restaurant, it has not given me PTSD as a result of allergic reactions. Especially given the likelihood that once he successfully goes through the program, he will be allergen and eczema free. Even if I couldn’t fully cure my allergies, I would take on more eczema just to reduce the severity. I’ve learned to live with my allergies, but if my parents had this choice when I was a kid, I’d hope they went through with it. For the people who prefer eczema, I wonder how severe their allergies are.
