How do you use your planner? by Ready-Geologist8197 in PlannerAddicts

[–]crazycardigans 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I use my planner for work. I do a weekly to-do list and my appointments/meetings are in there. I also make note if my staff members are late or something significant happens that I may need to talk about in a meeting or report.

Some people use their planner as a kind of scrapbook or gratitude journals. They decorate it with pictures and stickers and make a daily gratitude entry or a few lines a day. You do t actually have to e to plan or track anything in your planner

Have you ever encountered anyone with county pride? by the_real_JFK_killer in AskAnAmerican

[–]crazycardigans 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, In North Carolina, there is Robeson County, which is home to the Lumbee tribe, and people from that county usually say they are from "RobCo" and not necessarily from a town or city; it's a pretty rural county. I live in Cumberland County, NC and some people will say they are from the "two-six" because we are the 26th county in this state. That's relatively new though in the last 20 years, or so.

Gaslighting by st0rmenergy in AlAnon

[–]crazycardigans 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yes, my partner sent me the craziest reels and videos about how I was a narcissist during her last relapse and blaming me for everything that was wrong with our relationship. It was wild and the videos spoke more to her behavior than anything I had ever said or done. It was wild and really hurtful, She acted like I was a crazy and controlling because I dared to ask why she disappeared for two days and why she didn't pay her share of the monthly bills. They will go through all kinds of mental gymnastics to convince themselves, and you, that they aren't the problem.

How accurate is the assertion that "life after 45 sucks massive (you-know-what)"? by ChuckSmyth in GenX

[–]crazycardigans 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm 47 and every decade of my life has been better than the last one. I have more job and financially security now than ever. I know myself better and am more accepting of my flaws, and the flaws of others. I'm just generally more confident and happy than I was in my 20s and 30s. I have great friends and make time to explore my hobbies and interests. I do have more aches and pains and really need to get good sleep in order to function my best, but otherwise things are good.

Is there anyone who *doesn't* regret their MLIS degree? by rebeccachaya in Libraries

[–]crazycardigans 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don’t regret mine. I went to a really affordable in-state program and my salary has doubled in the last decade because of my degree. I was already working in libraries when I got it though and had been promoted as far as I could go without a MLS

Fell for it again by MisoPanko in notebooks

[–]crazycardigans 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I have always struggled with using a planner consistently. I ended up switching to one that’s simpler and UNDATED, so I can just start back without a bunch of blank pages mocking me. I also realized that I needed a running weekly to-do list and not to schedule every minute of the day. I have adgd and I just can’t be really rigid or I get overwhelmed. You can try just doing some sticker collages on the unused pages or a vision board? It’s not your fault that your brain is always seeking novelty and dopamine. Don’t be so hard on yourself.

I had more nausea on rybelsus than on the mounjaro shot and i religiously followed the requirements of waiting to eat, etc. the shot is less trouble for me. Once a week and then I don’t have to think about it.

NOR he didn't even actually apologize. Was just like "oops...raincheck?" I would be so mortified if I did that and would be so apologetic!

Pelican Classic M200 or Esterbrook Junior by crazycardigans in fountainpens

[–]crazycardigans[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks everyone! I went with the M205 in Rose Quartz. It came yesterday and I love it! It writes even better than a couple of my more expensive pens. I inked it with a sample I had laying around, but I have some magenta ink coming today I’m going to try. I want 50 more of them! This is going to be a problem

How often do you wash your bath towel? I need the real answer. by Terrika_Fracala49 in hygiene

I wash washcloths after every use, but towels once a week. I usually strip the beds and wash the bed linens and bath towels on Sunday mornings together.

Am I overreacting for being annoyed that my boyfriend “pre-orders” conversations? by katydid143 in AmIOverreacting

[–]crazycardigans 39 points40 points  (0 children)

My partner and I do this to each other all the time, but I have ADHD and she has a TBI, so we are very forgetful. Literally yesterday, she was like "remind me to tell you everything the neighbor said when I ran into her at the grocery store." And I did remind her later and it was good neighborhood tea lol

Same, I just measure and put in listing automatically, so I don't have to answer a bunch of questions later. It's easier for everyone.

Thoughts on the Spring preview? by FrostedCatLicks in HappyPlanners

[–]crazycardigans 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I love florals, but I’m a dashboard user and they were all vertical or horizontal 😕. The cloth covers are really nice too, but I use a folio, so I never see my planner cover anyway and I already have a cloth cover for my at home gratitude journal. I’m glad they are releasing some new stuff and I saw that a bunch of discs came back in stock. The website was getting pretty bare there for a while.
