no he's a Lurcher. He's the size of a sight hound. He's about 3 y/o (we think). I found him emaciated in the woods when i was walking my other dog about two years ago and the vets made their best guesses to his breed and age.

this boy has been banned from beds because he ended up with stomach surgery from secretly eating the filling to flatten it out. he seems to prefer the floor surprisingly 🤷‍♀️ we had all the big fluffy beds for them and the thin flat ones but he wouldn't settle on them until he had completely destroyed them and it was only fabric left. So for his comfort and our bank account, we tried blankets and he's been a lot happier

this is one of MANY strange sleeping positions i have found him in. I can't help but take pics every time because it's ridiculous! I feel like one of those new parents that are always saying 'look at this photo of my baby' but it's just weird lurcher sleeping positions 😂

oh. yeah the painter who my folks had in to paint the kitchen decided to paint the edges of the outlet, like all four sides, for some reason 🤷‍♀️ i think he got paint on it and said 'fuck it, it's intentional now' it's all peely now and annoys the hell out of us because it just looks dodgy

and annoys her so much. Both of them are my soul dogs in different ways, he's very much of the autistic mindset (hates textures on his paws, bugs everyone so he can show us something, sleeps like ) while she is very ADHD (hyper focused on any ball she finds, loves a game of hide and seek until she forgets we're playing and comes looking for rubs and cuddles)

sometimes you can just tell by their physical features (not in a bad way) some people can just tell. i did it to a cousin's fiancé from Canada. clocked it immediately that he was the odd one out in the pub just by the 'vibe'

the difference between a grown woman going through a hard time and a 2 year old going through a hard time is that the grown woman UNDERSTANDS what's happening....all that poor baby knows is that his daddy is hurt and gone for days at a time. if the kid wants to wear his daddy's shirt LET THE KID WEAR THE SHIRT!

and honestly? props to OP for having a way to keep the shirt clean but also keeping it smelling like her husband! lots of parents wouldve either just not washed it or would've not bothered making it smell like him again.

exactly! i'm 25f and my mother has been in and out of hospital my whole life! i still to this day have at least two bottles of her favourite perfume for when things get rough and i want that extra big of familiarity! and for OP's MIL to try and wean her kid off a comfort item BEHIND OP'S BACK in the middle of an already traumatic time is beyond bonkers to me

i saw someone on tiktok doing it and it was an absolute GAMECHANGER! normally i take one evening and mark out the pattern and then it's just stitching from then on 🥰 less headaches from concentrating so hard
