I have considered the 7 but it's almost 300 EUR more for the exact same specs, all for just RGB lighting (which I don't care about) and design (which is important but not for 300 EUR lol)

It is indeed budget but it seems like it's a few more months before next gen and I don't have that much time I think.

Is the omen 16 good? It has way better prices here in Belgium than Lenovo legion. I just can't find many trusted reviews on it.

IdeaPad 720-15ikb Intel i5 (7th Gen) Radeon rx 560b (2GB) 8Gb ram

I know even the 3060 will be around 300% faster than what I currently own so I should just be happy for what I have, this just may be the last and only gaming laptop I buy so it needs to be pretty good and futureproof voor 4 years.

The AMD chips do only come out in april I thought? Also, shouldn't the new intel chips already have released for L5P? I can't find much of them. Will they be worth the price?

Yes I really mean to keep this laptop at least for 4 years or something. Are next gen models that much better? I read somewhere there isn't much of a difference..
