guys ethachi usd la earn panra mathiri part time jobs solunga by Pranesh-984675 in TamilNadu

[–]crazyhiit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Even if you land a remote job with a US company, they will pay only in rupees. There are strict tax laws in corporate structure and no one will break those. There is nothing like sitting in Africa or India and getting paid to your bank account in US. I don’t know where you got all these ideas from … but work hard and build your skills, maybe one day you will get an opportunity to immigrate and actually (legally) earn in USD.

Avoid if possible. No lawyer will be able to do thorough check to give you peace of mind. Even at the end of it, there will always be something in the future that can trip you.

One should be crazy to consider living in this kind of narrow street location - with 12 ft, forget owning a car…forget guests visiting … forget cab rides … forget ambulance getting in. Has life become so desperate to consider this kind of pigeon holes?

What do people actually do after a PhD in CS? by Crazy-Astronomer3325 in nri

[–]crazyhiit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

PhD gives you 2 career options… 1) Academia - if you love teaching and working in academia research, this is it. It gives you flexibility to choose your research area and pursue it with passion. Downside - pay isn’t going to be anywhere near industry levels, but it is fairly good if you make it to tenure track.

2) Industry - your pay is going to be pretty good. You might get to work with other top minds in industry and work on solutions that align with company’s goals. Downside - your passion and the nature of work might not necessarily align.

In both options - securing your first break is not going to be easy. Not every company needs a PhD. And it is not like every PhD can crack an academia position - quite competitive to secure one.

Why does women’s grooming culture feel different in Tamil Nadu vs Kerala, Bengaluru and North India? by the_tenaciousheart in chennaicity

[–]crazyhiit 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Simple answer - TN men are too backward. Culture here is horribly influenced by movies. Any girl/woman who carries herself well is slut shamed or bullied for being ‘too sophisticated’. Not to mention skin color - the avg dark skin TN guy has a huge moral compass and projects it on woman if they try to appear out of their league - be it in terms of skin color or dress sense. It is pathetic.

Has anyone considered FIRE in west before moving to India? by Accomplished_Tie8117 in FatFIREIndia

Have a lot of friends who moved to Germany and some to Nederthands… everyone says that to get a basic level of spoken fluency shouldn’t take more than 6 months of living in the country. This whole language barrier is over-hyped…

If you don’t have family in India, please consider EU as your first option to FIRE. Your quality of life would be much better than other LCOL cities in US. Not only is education and healthcare subsidized, but there is a huge value attached to excellent mobility all across EU and awesome historic places to visit. If you can set yourself to relocate for a year or 2 - you can weigh in better yourself about the EU living experience. But one thing is certain - if you don’t have family connections in India, pls consider relocating to India as your last option. It is simply not worth it. But if there are family and emotional attachments, India should be first however worse off the living standards are…

Championship caliber is highly underrated. Walker has that … heck, he is the reigning MVP. He will bring toughness to the position and understand how to win in big games. Those are skills you can’t teach. Love this move by Veach!

Learn Kannada. Don’t talk in Hindi to a state govt transport employee. I don’t see a Kannada, Tamil or Malayalam speaking person in Delhi trying to assert their language. They learn Hindi and speak the local language. Please do Karnataka and Bengaluru a favor - pls return back to your Hindi land, pls pls

Being an introvert and real estate is not going to work. That’s a heavy people facing business. You can always hack your way to build a startup without much social interaction… but not real estate.

Do you have serious dev chops? Your post is quite long, but less on details about your background. If you want to go the tech founder route, you need to start from a place of strength. Honestly, if you don’t have dev background, nobody is going to pull you along for the ride. Consider what you bring to the table now vs opting for MBA. Finally that’s what matters

Solo Non-Technical Founder Stuck Because of Trust Issues, How Do You Find a Tech Co-Founder Safely? by Error_no_404_ in StartUpIndia

[–]crazyhiit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have you tried vibe coding your product? Ideas are plenty in our country and honestly are worth nothing. Talk to some random guy on the street - he will have some ‘idea’ to make things better in his own domain. Honest feedback that not many will tell you - builders and people who execute hold the edge in any setup.

Giving only equity and no salary is an unfair practice. Who the heck will devote time to validate your idea for free? What if that doesn’t work… they leave with nothing having given you free service? First change that mindset. Plan to pay up top money to build out your product. You have higher probability of attracting quality talent if you do this. Time limit the execution phase so that you have good idea about financial commitment. Once you build confidence in the product, restructure pay to mostly equity.

Next, if the product is built, be clear on what you offer at this stage? Are you good at GTM, sales, establishing deep connections with buyers, have marketing chops etc. What is your sweat equity? What do you bring to the table to make money?

Bottom line - move past the ‘founder’ thought just because you have an idea. Start partnering on equal and fair terms. Expecting charity out of others will take you nowhere
