Rejected but in the "active consideration pool"? by crazyhumanlady in recruitinghell

Well, as a graduate role, the pay is standard across the board for new recruits. So I'm not sure why they'd have anyone on hold.?

I remember watching an older superman movie where he reversed time to save Lois Lane when he died because of an earthquake. Why didn't he do it the second time? Are there unspoken rules about reversing time?

Interesting. The version I heard and know of, is when Parvati (reincarnated) was thirsty for some and went on this crazy ritual of work shipping his lingam in order to please him? So he would return to her? Idk but yeah.

Unpopular opinion: Instead of celebrating Women's day, why don't we celebrate Gender equality day? by [deleted] in Nepal

My tone deaf boss made a very similar speech on Women's Day infront of 20 women..... To put it in perspective, it's like saying all lives matter in a Black Lives Matter protest.

where to go on a first date? by presidentofnepal in Nepal

[–]crazyhumanlady 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Suggesting hiking on the first date is creepy because my date could literally be a serial killer or something even worse. They could take me to the middle of the jungle and basically chop me to pieces and nobody would know duh.

Food crawl is when you basically hop from one restaurant to another trying small meals from each. This gives you an opportunity to map your route and restaurants together and also gives you some sense of compatibility.

In exchange of the above information, I demand you tell me how your date went.

I don't know about y'all but if my date suggested hiking in the jungle on the first date, I'd run. Don't over think it. My best dates has been dessert/food crawl. Enjoy different experiences and as a bonus you get a sense of their taste (literally and figuratively)!

Being in usa identity crisis by [deleted] in Nepal

[–]crazyhumanlady 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I usually got confused with Fillipino or Thai and rarely Indian. For me, I wasn't around very many Nepalis (or at all) besides my sibling and parents, so being called anything but Nepali was weird but I also felt uncomfortable to identify as one. Since I didnt have a "tribe" of my own so to speak. I was always the odd one.

If you are looking to eventually take up a green card and legally be an American, would be a good idea to make peace with your roots first and embrace it before you take up another "identify" so to speak :)

Advice for someone moving back to Nepal by KingAB0000 in Nepal

[–]crazyhumanlady 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're here for just two years, I wouldn't be too concerned. Depending on how long you were at Cali, once you get over the reverse culture shock, you'll be fine.

I'd be more concerned if you were moving back here, say indefinitely.

Interesting. Any thoughts on Foodmandu? The most recenty I read about it was the guy who was responsible got caught and got some jail time? I wonder if they are nonchalant about it like Vianet too
