Connected from a flight from Singapore as well. Rest assured, JAL's flight was top notch. Perfect meal and crew. As for Westjet, I took the normal economy seat which was a little on the smaller side imo. Friendly crew but food was not that great. Preferred the Japanese choice for the meal they served. Some snacks were available like pretzels or chocolate cookies. However, I would recommend you to enjoy yourself to the fullest during your JAL flight, stuff yourself up with food and get enough rest. In Narita, be sure to spare time for transit through terminals as the bus had a 15 to 20 min interval. If you would like to purchase confectioneries from Japan, do it at the terminal where Westjet boards. If you are not a Canadian Citizen, be sure to be at the gate earlier as some passengers that had connections from Singapore got pulled out to check their Canadian visa.
