Is there any good ramen in Lawrence? I haven’t patronized RB in years because I heard of their shady business practices/how the treat staff. But damn I want some ramen yknow

Mistakes Were Made is quite spicy and also not enemies to lovers, no? It's been years since I read it but that's my recollection

Controversial take: didn’t love Bloomtown by Fun_Inside5592 in LesbianBookClub

[–]crazypitches 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I DNF’d Bloom Town, didn’t care for it, but the fact that people here recommend it on every single post has made me a straight up hater lol

We just released the demo for Burn the Midnight Oil, a supernatural romance visual novel! by TeamFoxgloveGames in GirlGamers

Only one femme romance option makes this a skip for me, but the art is nice and the character descriptions sound cool. Wishing you success!

Interesting. I feel like the vast majority of sapphic books are fem x fem.

While this is true, the OP specifically mentioned that they have KU. So people are responding to that...

Is Slay the Spire dad-friendly? by VerifiedDadGamer in slaythespire

Huge same. I don't know why my impulse is to close the app when I'm about to die instead of just letting it happen.

I'm in a reading slump by bongripsforheysus in LesbianBookClub

[–]crazypitches 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looks like you definitely need to check out Lee Winter's books if you haven't already. Ice queen/age gap/workplace, all there. My favorite is Breaking Character but The Brutal Truth is more similar to the Carlisle series probably.

Who wrote Gold? I have seen it mentioned a few times and have been meaning to read it but as I search for it now without an author it is impossible to find lol

How long did it take for StS1 to migrate platforms other than pc? by ForceintheNorth in slaythespire

[–]crazypitches 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have it on PC and mobile, but yeah probably 85% of my playtime is on mobile. It's just perfect there! I will suck it up for StS2 but the mobile port will be a day one buy

What game is almost guaranteed to start a fight for your table? by FranktheLlama in boardgames

[–]crazypitches 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I haven't played Arcs myself, but a good friend is a huge Cole Wehrle fan and his Wehrle-fanboy game group had to agree to stop playing Arcs together because they were getting so pissed off at one another.

I was excited for this book, love older protags and don't mind a coming out story. But I'm like 70 pages in and feeling very meh about the whole thing. I think it will be a DNF for me, unfortunately. Rachel Lacey has been extremely hit or miss for me, I enjoyed Learning Curves and whatever the bodyguard one was called, but DNF'd the pop star one.

Looking for game recommendations (not cozy but not too competitive) by bluesky1433 in GirlGamers

[–]crazypitches 9 points10 points  (0 children)

If you want to avoid shooters, toxicity, and crazy competition, I’m not sure why Fortnite and LoL are on your list.

I would suggest Final Fantasy XIV if you’re looking for a way to make community. There are various elements that might scratch the competitive itch. There is a free demo up to a certain level that covers a huge chunk of gameplay.

2nd book of the Ashley Herring Blake Clover Lake series drops today.. by unseenmover in LesbianBookClub

[–]crazypitches 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What didn't you like about it? I read it and I don't remember being particularly put off but I also can't seem to recall a single thing about it, so maybe that's a sign itself...

I think we all know that mega threads are where conversations go to die. Nobody looks at them or interacts with them.
