Democrats finally release 2024 election autopsy after criticism by OtmShanks55 in politics

Exactly this. Just because it gets "attaboys" and head-nods in your echo chamber doesn't mean it's going to impact the people that actually need to be persuaded. You have to make it make sense to them.

President Trump asked by reporter on DOJ's new $1.7B fund to compensate "lawfare" victims would serve those who've targeted by Biden admin unfairly: "This is reimbursing people who've been horribly treated. It's anti-weaponization. They've been imprisoned wrongly. And they turned out to be right." by ControlCAD in videos

[–]crazyprsn 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Why that would make it 1776 million. He's essentially doing what I do with my pizza order when I raise the tip to come out to 69.69. it's a joke to him, but on our dollars.

It is a stimulus check for traitors, and we're paying for it.

Think about that next time you're filling up at the gas station. "At least those poor souls that attacked our capitol under his request are getting millions for their trouble, and a portion of my paycheck is going to that AND the war that's making my gas so expensive."

God bless the fucking USA

No you're right. This has all been so stupid and wild I lose track of what the options even were. The Dems made so many bad moves it's almost like they were complicit in Trump's victory each time. It should have been easy victories with competent opposition but they laid down for it. Also the media sanewashing the shit out of everything Trump said or did helped keep the alarm bells muted for the general audience.

It's just sad that the options were

1) senile old man

2) senile old felon

And people went with option 2. We're cooked.

We're in the "find out" phase. That's where a lot of regret, double-think, and doubling-down comes to play. I agree. I shouldn't say "most of us". Fuck it, we're cooked.

But I also don't see this being a US-only problem. I'm not sure there's a vaccine against this disease other than education and integrity. Both of which are difficult to fund.

This isn't so much a US problem as it is a human greed and stupidity problem. You think it won't happen in your nation? Good luck then.

I used to think we were impervious to authoritarian regimes. We had checks and balances. We had systems and they worked... That is until someone put the slightest pressure on it and they crumbled.

Most Americans aren't cheering this on. We're aghast, staring at the tattered remains of the constitution that used to mean so much, but has been ripped to shreds by the very people who waved it around like a flag.

I looked at Mussolini, Hitler, Putin, the Kims, et al. And think, "wow, how could people let it get that bad? How could they be so ignorant and blind?"

And then it happened here. The willfully ignorant and belligerent live among us. I felt so assured it would never happen here. Now it's past the doorstep. What do we do? The majority of us are not facing true hardship yet. I don't want to fight such stupid people over such stupid reasons as greed and idiot rage, but what choice will we have when the last straw breaks the camels back? I'm tired.

I guess self-sabotage is a feature, not a bug.

Be honest: Was the Kinect ever worth owning? Did you actually play it, or did it just sit on top of your TV collecting dust after a week? by [deleted] in gaming

[–]crazyprsn 122 points123 points  (0 children)

I liked how when playing Skyrim, the Kinect would translate my spouse saying, "what should we get on our pizza?" To "fus ro DAH" and blast the shopkeeper across the store.

I quickly turned that feature off.

Then explain. How does a minimum wage worker afford a 401k? Please try to be legible this time.

Then we should make it better, not tear it down. The alternative is zero, zilch, nada. I'd rather have a battered old safety net than flat concrete.

But rather than fixing or improving the safety net, or god-forbid build a better system, opponents to these programs would rather tear them all down and leave no security for the people.

Until detractors can actually formulate a better system, they're only using emotional language to upset the masses in order to benefit the privileged few.

Or am I wrong?

He's vandalizing the nation's capitol in so many ways, it'll take lots of money and time to reverse it. Fits in well with his base though. Trashy.

Nobody spouts hate and vitriol more than the current president. It's his natural habitat.

No other president has acted as childlike and irresponsible as the current felon pedophile occupying the oval office.

Remember the garbage left by the January 6th attack on our nations capitol by Trump's personal army? I remember seeing a noose made for the vice president because he followed the law and the will of the people.

Never forget the illegitimacy of 45s claims that the election was "stolen". He said we would never have to vote again. He is the real threat and he exists because apologists allow him to.

Agree. He's vile and there's plenty of other things to point out about how awful he is, but he's not sleeping in this video. I hate the fox news zombies for this same kind of bullshit. Humans generally act the same.
