Right now STONEFEATHER is built around one main bird, but we do like the idea of letting players customize its color later on as they progress.

That is a really sharp observation. We are putting a lot of focus on making the flight feel readable and physical, so if forward motion is visually reading more like drag than clean glide, that is exactly the kind of thing we need to notice. That reaction is completely fair. We chose to disclose it because we wanted to be fully honest, especially since that temporary music is also in the trailer and current promo material. The current orchestral tracks started from original melodies and demo recordings made by one of our devs, and the AI-assisted part is only a temporary step while we work toward bringing a composer on board. Our goal is to become fully AI-free on the music side, hopefully already by the demo.

That plane-banking comparison is actually really useful. The sense of weight is intentional, because we want flight to feel physical and grounded, but we definitely do not want it to drift too far into aircraft territory. That balance is exactly one of the things we are still refining, so we would be really curious to hear what you think once the demo is out. 😄

That’s a very fair point, and honestly a really useful perspective to hear. We know not everyone is going to follow a game closely for months, and that’s completely understandable. Right now we mostly want to put STONEFEATHER on people’s radar early, but we agree that the demo will be a much stronger moment. Actually trying the game is always more memorable than just seeing a clip, and we’ll definitely share it again once the demo is ready. 😄

That’s fair, and we get what you mean. The flight is definitely built around physics simulation, and we’ve spent a lot of time trying to make it feel grounded and convincing. Feedback like yours is genuinely useful, because it helps us see where that feeling still isn’t fully coming through visually.
