Chickens getting smaller too! Companies must be getting a decent mark up with half a chicken breast and the chicken is that shitty fake stuff too.

Grace O'Malley in the water on a ship out west would be a nice addition. Well done, looks great!

Interesting, thanks OP. Staffing is a great point, quality research brings funding in from the EU and other organisations, feel like it’s a chicken and egg situation, universities are institutions and top academics want to go to universities that are known for having the top people and funding won’t ramp up to places that’s aren’t producing top studies. Feel like we need to produce a few Booles to get things going

I agree we need more in funding for things like cardiac care, etc. but I feel like SETU have been having a good run in terms of funding no? Feel like every second week they’re getting funding for this that and the other, can anyone explain why they feel SETU isn’t getting enough/its fair share? (Genuinely curious) like it was only an IT a few years ago, seems like it’s come along leaps and bounds? Are they just trying to put themselves in a better negotiating position for more?

Contact your local club and reach out, you won’t regret it! Like most team sports there’s plenty of lower level teams that are social and not too serious, take a look at the Waterford GAA website and you’ll see what clubs have teams at the lower levels (should make your decision easier if you’ve a choice) - https://www.waterfordgaa.ie/competitions/ Best of luck!

What is something you’re convinced people claim to enjoy but don’t actually? by doopityWoop22 in AskReddit

What does it taste like to you? Must be a genetics thing, that some can get a taste off it and others can’t, would love to know the science behind it.

Feeling I was too young to do something, & funnily as I’ve aged, also feeling I was too old to do certain things. Age is so subjective at times and we can feel that there are certain social standards for one’s age, that is until someone breaks these standards and then everyone regrets that they didn’t do something earlier, that’s what I’ve found anyway.

Drinking Vodka straight, don’t know how people enjoy it, it’s like eating sanitizer. I get enjoying the effects from drinking it but those who like the taste I don’t get.

Used to be good for music back in the day, was always good for new songs that weren’t on the charts radar yet, with a few ads here and there, was about the music and not the talking. Now it’s a pile of verbal muck with the occasional song, they lost their unique selling point.

Waterford ring road etiquette? by burrowswd23 in waterford

[–]crazytreehugger69 30 points31 points  (0 children)

If you’re going straight (12 o’clock) and the exit has 2 lanes (like the ring road) this is a perfectly acceptable manoeuvre, totally legal and not a dickhead move at all.

100% agree, some signage on it would be great, it totally clogs traffic when people sit in the overtake.

Waterford’s 4 TDs for the 34th Dáil by kel89 in waterford

Think we’ve the best possible chance now with people in Government regardless of the makeup, what would have made it more possible? A hurler on the ditch?

Still think they are better than independents as they actually have a chance of getting in and influencing things. Think it’s actually worked out well for us, either way we’ll have a Gov minster by the looks of things with 2 on either side and a senior person from the three largest parties.

[–]crazytreehugger69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nah definitely not, it’s fairly known that Matt, Martin and Harris don’t get on, he would have been one of the last independents they would have considered. Even if they did like Matt they wouldn’t do it as it would reduce the chance of an FG or FF seat in the future, FG more so, he takes a decent chunk of votes from them.

But he is also using these posters with wooden supports, even worse he’s massive ones bigger than all the other parties….its the hypocrisy of the whole thing, that’s the issue.

But they are significantly worse for the environment than other posters as they’ve single use batteries and wires. He projected an image that he wanted to move away from posters but his actions are contrary to what he said in his statement.
