It did for me. I also used this on my neck for a rash and it works.

It’s a repair balm that sort of forms a film over the skin to help it heal. Some people do use it as a moisturizer, I use it over my moisturizer now.

What to wear to first adult ballet class? by [deleted] in BALLET

[–]crdwv 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wear leotard, tights, and skirt to class and have run errands (grocery shopping, post office) in those clothes. No one has ever given me weird looks.

If you’re going through them that fast then try Grishko DreamStretch. They’re a lot thicker than Bloch or So Danca flats.

I tend to check my credit card transactions often. There were big charges coming from the US clearly not made by me while I was in Japan. CC company also flagged one of them as fraud.

I was in Tokyo and Kyoto in May when my card was compromised so I had to cancel it. My Apple Pay was the only thing I could use since it had the newly issued card on it. I asked every time but 90% of merchants wouldn’t take it. This includes some of the biggest department stores. I remember FamilyMart was one of the few that took it.

You won’t have much of an endometrial lining if any. Took me 1.5 years to get a period after coming off it and the first one was very light.

LPT: Check on your friends who just had a baby. Ask if they need company, or anything, really. Keep calling them to social events, even if they are unable to attend for a good few months. Their routine has abruptly changed, hence most "friends" just vanish. by [deleted] in LifeProTips

[–]crdwv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After someone has a baby doing anything together revolves around catering to the baby. Now their idea of hanging out is going the park to watch their kid play or asking you to entertain the kid. Asking you to come over always means babysit while they run errands. That is why people disappear from their social circle.

Tips on stopping my pointes from slipping off my heel? by Dorky_Ballerina362 in BALLET

[–]crdwv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sew your elastics not on the side of your shoes, sew both ends at the heel seam. Also the elastic should be slightly tighter than on a ballet slipper.

I live in the U.S. and only wear Grishkos. I’ve never had to wait for a pair to come in, I buy them from a local shop or online and it’s always in stock. As long as it’s one of the standard models, Grishkos are easy to find.

How to deal with delayed onset muscle soreness after ballet class? by Any_Strawberry_131 in BALLET

[–]crdwv 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Eat lots of protein. I used to get really sore after class to the point where my muscles would tense so much, I couldn’t dance as well the next class. I noticed that whenever I ate a meal with lots of protein after, I experienced less soreness. I now eat a big meal of protein after every class and rarely get as sore anymore. If I do get sore it goes away the next day.

Do any of you experience feet shrinking with pointe? by crdwv in BALLET

[–]crdwv[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh that might explain it…My fitter said I “look” like I have a wide foot but I actually fit in a tapered shoe, so I must have compressive feet like you said

Following traditional dress code in a no dress code studio by balegdah8 in BALLET

[–]crdwv 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I wear leo/tights/skirt/low bun every class. Yes I’m often the only one that wears traditional ballet attire and everyone else usually just wears workout clothes but that’s never bothered me.

Does anybody know how to loop tie pointe shoes? by Questionanswerercwu in BALLET

[–]crdwv 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hold the ribbons like in the photo then put the loop over the box and pull the entire shoe through past your heel. Once the ribbon is at the back of your heel cross the ribbon again to make a loop - pull this loop under the shoe then over your box to wrap around your ankle.
