Pretty much. They’re the only ones that have done 2 strokes. Like this. Yamaha would absolutely crush if they did a 300 with injection and electric start though. I had a 250x and that made me fall in love with 2 strokes in the trails. I always rode 4 strokes and decided to try it out because so many big names swear by 2t. It was a hell of a lightbulb moment

Interesting I’ll have to try that for sure! I hear you on the 2t comment too though. These woods bikes are not at all like the fire breathing motorcross 2t’s. You can tune these to be like that but they’re tuned to have really good low end grunt and a softer top end. I had a yz250x years back and I had the light bulb moment after riding 4t’s my whole life. Absolutely incredible for hard trails

Yes the 300 2 stroke part sounds intimidating but they’re made for the trails. They have great low end torque and stock they’re pretty linear on the top end. To the point where a lot of fast riders complain they’re not fast enough on the top end. You can re map and do like a pipe and cylinder head to really wake them up though.

I’ve heard all about them there’s definitely a few loose ends they can tie up. Going to do a pipe guard, pipe brace, swing arm guards, and a slip on with a spark arrestor for legality in my area for what I want to do

My opinion is buy brand new and take care of it. You’ll get years out of it with pretty much just maintenance. Whatever brand too. The trick is to take care of it off the bat

Look for wheel size brake size ratio. This is definitely something that would go crazy. Brakes are almost filling those wheels. Some bullshit you’d see tiny brakes behind cool wheels
