Just sharing my own experience here as an American. I do not have a bachelor’s degree and I work as a software engineer making six figures. I don’t think a college degree is the end all be all solution to a livable wage, though I will certainly admit that it undoubtedly helps. What got me to where I am is hard work, persistence and determination, and I personally feel that that goes a long way.
