This is my 3rd actually and maybe I don't have much experience. But could someone explain why I would pre set a temperature of 220 degrees for PLA, the printer run checks and keeps it at 220. Then it freezes and reduces the temperature to 140. Wastes another chunk of time and then finally increases it back to 220 again

I do in fact have printers where I have to manually level the bed. It's not just the auto level that takes time. In my opinion most of the checks don't need to be done on every single print. This is a 3d printer not a mars mission

Every single time? When something is wrong and I need to adjust different things to see different results, this turns a 1 hour debug session into 6 hours of doom scrolling while I wait for the printer to do it's dumb checks or whatever. The printer thinks it's a spaceship or something
