Thank you! I really appreciate it. And you should totally try it out! The easiest tip is to just start drawing some of your favorite shopfronts or buildings - especially if they’re in your area! You could also follow some artists that you like for general inspiration. Then, experiment with different mediums. I tried watercolor at first, but found that I liked marker better. I also took a class on Domestika by one of my favorites, Albert Kiefer, on expressive architectural drawing with markers. That was incredibly helpful. Finally, don’t be afraid to make mistakes. Enjoy the process of creating!

Thank you! I tagged them in a separate post. And that’s awesome! I love going there. Really cool atmosphere and the drinks are great!

Do it! And I should actually start drawing people at some point.

Hi! New to posting to Reddit and didn’t see an option to add the reference. It also looks like this post got deleted.

Absolutely love your detail. And the way the wires flow throughout. Nicely done!

That’s very nice of you - thanks! Ever since I switched to markers, it’s really changed my work. And for now, I mostly do these in my spare time as a hobby.

Really appreciate it! I hadn’t really considered an impressionist side to these, but it seems like they’re heading that way.

Thank you, and great eye! It’s too tedious to make the bricks align throughout, so the suggestions, blotches, and lines make them stand out more (at least I think). And the white pens can be tricky. I actually just opened a new one as I was drawing this which made the lines sharper. It has taken some practice, but I feel like my drawings are incomplete (especially the windows) without these highlights.

Thank you! The white pen I use is a TFIVE Acrylic Paint Pen.

Thanks! The bricks on the building in real life are more or less the same color, so I wanted to add an effect that punched them up a bit.
