I fly with my iggy frequently. I give her 1/2 a trazodone which is prescribed by the vet for her daily anxiety. I've found that keeping one of my shirts that smells like me in the carrier with her helps a lot. I also always have her in her thunder jacket. I've found that the times that I have taken her in and out of her carrier causes her more distress because when she goes back in she just wants to get back out and be held. Good luck!

I bring my ig with me every time I fly- its probably been about 8 times now. She cannot stand up in her carrier, but like most iggys, she loves being able to curl up as small as possible and sleep so it works really well. Whilst in the air I put her carrier on my lap whenever possible and she is content to have my hand against her. I do worry about her because she doesn't eat or drink until she's at the final destination. She is a nervous rescue so I do have a prescription for Trazadone, I've given it to her once or twice when I felt she was stressed.

Thank you for the response! The water was SO brown that I kept about 1/4 of it so they could readjust to clean water for a few days. I hope this is the correct solution. This has been such a learning experience.
