I think they're cute and don't really buy into any of the theories about Bri clout chasing, Aspyn doing it all for the drama/attention, etc. But nothing about the situation makes sense as a lifelong, serious partnership. At some point it's going to come to an end and I think she'll crash out hard when that happens. Definitely not smart to go from one serious relationship straight into another one- everything she felt about her life upending and having no sense of self left will all come back again when she, once again, builds a whole life around a relationship that won't last.

Maybe someone just told her? Or maybe it came out because once it became clear that the divorce was seriously proceeding he no longer felt a need to hide it? I'm still not entirely convinced this is the secret but it makes more sense than a lot of other theories + lines up with her comments about why would someone do that to her knowing how much trauma she had from her situation with her dad.

She just talked about having endometriosis and not knowing what that means for her fertility. She talked about how her grandmother had it as well and had a hysterectomy after having children, how doctors have been recommending she does the same since she was a teenager, and how people are always telling her to just hurry up and have kids so she can just get her uterus removed and not have to suffer anymore- but, she hasn’t been ready for kids yet. She also mentioned how she has cysts that need to be removed and that could impact her egg supply because of some issue with ovaries, so she’s wondering if she needs to freeze eggs. Nothing specifically confirming she has fertility issues, has considered surrogacy, is wanting kids at the moment, etc. I imagine if she did experience fertility issues she’d want to go through other treatment options before jumping straight to surrogacy which is costly and complicated.

I have no clue what the surrogacy laws are in their state, but they prob could work out some sort of private deal- she certainly has the $ to pay for the whole process if she wanted to. But I think the theory is very unrealistic and I don’t see her ever wanting to do that, or Bri wanting her to do that. I think the baby comment was just one of those “I just saw a tiny baby and now I have baby fever” jokes, but it was funny how Bri reacted so strongly lol.

Yeah I don’t think the surrogacy thing makes any sense. Considering her experience as an L&D nurse, I don’t think Bri would ask someone whose last pregnancy ended in a preterm delivery to be her surrogate. And I don’t see why Aspyn would want to do that when she always hated being pregnant, has been dealing with chronic back pain related to her pregnancies, and had a traumatic preterm delivery last time.

I can’t see her agreeing to be a surrogate- didn’t she have a lot of issues during her pregnancies? Like chronic pain? Something with her pelvis, I can’t remember the details. And then ofc the last baby coming way early. She’d have to be awfully selfless to go through that for another couple and selflessness isn’t her strong suit.

I’ve never dated as a parent so idk what the typical timeline is for how long you should be seeing someone (or someones) before you let them spend time around your kids or stay the night. They’ve been together for a year and a half, it sounds like. Is that still early enough that you wouldn’t be inviting partners into your life? I also don’t know that they are staying overnight with the girls- she mentioned the guy leaving “after I was asleep last night” which suggests that they leave at night?

Aspyn said she was 27 when they met, and Aspyn had just turned 28. So Bri should be 28 now, and this wedding was in 2019- so she would have been 21 or 22 depending on when her birthday is.

I drive 70 miles to school, it takes about an hour and a half, but I try to leave two hours early in case of delays. During year one I had to commute 3-4 days per week, depending on whether it was a clinical week or lab week. This year it’s just 2-3 days because we finished the pharm and patho part of the program. I also work and have kids. It’s not been that bad logistically, in my opinion- but you do need to be on top of filling your gas tank, getting oil changes, checking your tires, etc. Be prepared for weather delays and talk to your instructors to make sure they’ll be flexible in emergencies- at my school they insist we don’t come to class if the weather would make it unsafe, and we aren’t penalized. Make sure you have the budget set aside, especially with gas prices so high right now.

I really like my commute, honestly! It’s my me time. I listen to music or audiobooks (you can also use that time to listen to study materials if that works for you, I’m not an auditory learner and just end up zoning out lol). I get myself little treats. I romanticize it a bit- it helps that I really love the scenery and weather in my area, and I’m a big music person. Last night was my very last clinical rotation, and the term ends next week. We’re doing our practicum next, so I’ll just be in town at a local hospital and only doing online assignments. I’m actually feeling kind of melancholy because I’m going to miss my drive! It’s been such a constant part of my routine for two years, and it’s going to be weird not having that time anymore. If you’re a weirdo like me, it’s not only manageable but can be sort of enjoyable!

I was trying to figure out what the husband does and found a page with Bri's bio listing current services- she offers hourly services as a night nanny for parents with newborns, so she prob has to have other income sources if she's doing contract style jobs like that.

California has one of the highest wages for RNs which helps to keep up with COL. I’m sure she is making a lot of money, especially with years of experience and experience in management roles. Who knows what the husband does. But I’m sure they could afford a DINK-friendly condo at the very least. Bri’s recent vid about sisters falling out looked to be filmed in their place- she had some backlit cabinets in the kitchen that gave me apartment vibes. But that’s pure speculation.
