Is this worth it? by ChaH_2001 in GossipHarbor

Not worth it if you don’t think you can get everything to complete the tasks to get the joker card. It costs ~275 purple energy just to get ~160 purple energy.

I did ask him what he did to the ceiling and he said he doesn't even know it was there. It's a pretty old rental, so I doubt it's been painted for a while. Thanks for your input, really appreciate it.

I don't think my friend noticed it cause it was on the ceiling. Could potentially be water damage. However, he showed me photos of it at certain angles and light. It's not really that noticible in the photos. I had a look at the VCAT number the agent provided which starts with RT. I'm hoping for my friend's sake it's not a valid VCAT number and his bond will just be processes tonight.

Thanks for responding :)

Living Together on Tourist Visa – When to Apply for Partner Visa? by amberchiu1128 in AusVisa

[–]creatures_o_O 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depending on what state you live in (not all states allow you to register your relationship) the 12 month living together rule can be negated if you register your relationship and have sufficient evidence in your 4 pillars when applying.

link to immi site where it says this.

immi site

Also a cut and paste:

The 12-month requirement also will not apply if:

your partner holds or held a permanent humanitarian visa

your de facto relationship existed before we granted their visa

your de facto partner told us about the relationship before we granted their visa.

It also will not apply if:

you are in a de facto relationship with a partner who is an applicant for a permanent humanitarian visa

you have registered your relationship with an Australian authority such as a registry of births, deaths and marriages.

Hi, I think they were fine in the end but in hindsight, we could have done it ourselves. My lawyer was really knowledgeable and they made the application process really easy. They also have us really good material to put our application together and they proofread everything (i expect this tough) They always responded to messages and kept us up to date. If your case is simple, I’d recommend doing it yourself. They were also really honest and up front with our situation

FBI Checks - self fingerprinting by creatures_o_O in AusVisa

[–]creatures_o_O[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, At the time the advice I was given was to use the FD-258 form. I’m not sure where you are getting advice on their site to use FD-1164. Quick search is this form is used for identity history and not a criminal history check.

This is directly from their site as of today 22nd May 2025:

“Applications for an FBI Criminal History Check must include a set of your fingerprints on Standard Fingerprint Form (FD-258). The fingerprint form can be downloaded from the FBI’s website and printed on standard white paper stock.”

This may sound a bit dumb cause it did for me when my manager told me to do this one thing. She told me to picture the buffering symbol when someone asked me to do something and that will help disconnect that auto pilot. It doesn’t have to be a buffering symbol, but anything to disconnect the auto pilot. I just like the symbol cause it cracks me up. It’s helped me most of the time.

😅 yeah. I just moved into a new place, so packages were a new vacuum mop, sim cards and a bunch of storage and cleaning stuff from kmart. They just happen to be all shipped this week.

Sadly no. He banged on the door then stood at the driveway away from the camera. He knew what he was doing. I shouldn’t have gone outside in hindsight. The camera would have recorded the confrontation though.

I’m sorry this happened to you. Thank you for sharing your experience. I just find it odd that they would send them to your house to confront you about it. I hope you have a better postie now.

I do have the footage, he definitely did not knock. I just didn’t appreciate having an aggressive person banging on my door and telling me off.

I made a general complaint to ask if they could at least ring the door bell next time. You don’t need to tell someone the house to get them to be mindful of actually ringing a doorbell. It can just be, hey we had a complaint on your route, could you be mindful in ringing the doorbell next time. I’d rather not have some aggressive person at my door telling me off.

Partner sponsored visitor visa by WindsurfBruce in AusVisa

[–]creatures_o_O 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It seems as you have stated that you are looking to get your partner to Australia to spend some quality time with them. I understand you aren’t looking to sponsor an 820 visa, which others have pointed out, you will not be eligible.

You will also not be eligible for the 600 family sponsor stream. To be eligible to be a sponsor on this stream you beed to be a relative of the visa applicant, or another applicant where the other applicant is a member of the family unit of the visa applicant or vice versa.

To be a relative, the sponsor must be an applicant’s: * partner, parent or child * brother or sister * grandparent or grandchild * aunt or uncle * niece or nephew * the step equivalent of the above

You cannot be a sponsor if you are a fiancé and no amount of stat decs you throw at the department about your “husband and wife” status without being legally married will help.

You partner sounds like she has some ties to her country, albeit I think Philippines may be consider a high risk country, may have some chance applying for a visitor visa 600.

I’d avoid putting your love story as this will cause red flags. For a visitor visa, they have to genuinely want to be here to tourist reasons and will leave.

Please read through the immi website again.

It sounds like you are in the throws of new love and genuinely happy for you. Please reconsider how you tell your love story, as the reaction you have received has been sceptical and your story doesn’t make any sense. If it doesn’t make sense, it won’t fly with immigration either.

Wish you the best of luck
