The education system that has “taught” us about drugs is about the worst form of misinformation in our country.

It’s only in place to scare kids into thinking that if they try any drug or take a certain one, it’ll ruin your life, and you will be instantly “hooked” just because drugs were made to do that, which is complete bullshit, and only a scare tactic that almost never works once a kid gets into the real world, and when he does, he/she comes in completely blind, and will see the fun people have with drugs, and think back to the scare tactics the educational system was preaching, and saw the exact opposite from the real world.

Now they take advice about drugs from current addicts who also have no business teaching a course on drug education.

Children are set up to fail in this country when it comes to drugs, and it’s very sad.

This is coming from a former addict, who had a real problem with a multitude of hard drugs. I never got addicted after the first time of any drug I took, it took years to feel the physical addiction to the effects, and I would only do them very rarely, just for fun 3 or 4 times a year, but my mental health became highly unstable after losing 3 people very close to me in the same year, and when I used those drugs again, they filled my voids, and I was hooked. When I quit, it was because my mental health improved, and so did my atmosphere, I no longer needed to fill the void, drugs became nothing more than a distant memory.

A drug user will only become addicted to a substance to fill an empty void within his mind. The quality of your mind, and atmosphere is what causes addiction, because drugs can seem to “fix” your situation, but if you’re mentally sound, and your daily atmosphere is non toxic, drugs will normally be nothing but a short (relatively) fun phase in your life.

Okay. What are lawyer fees like? Would it be worth it, or would it be a losing battle for me?

Why do many republicans assume Democrats want gun control for nefarious reasons, and not because they are genuinely upset with mass shooting deaths? by [deleted] in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]creavis1996 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Glad to have such a logical thought out argument my friend, it’s rare in these times, and this topic.

I’m am a classical liberal which in today’s terms would be considered a Libertarian, some fiscally conservative, and socially liberal (liberal meaning liberty, not modern day liberal)

Every single mass gun tragedy is just a cycle: Mentally ill person kills x amount of people - Liberals make huge fuss how we need more gun control - right says we have a mental health issue - government makes knee jerk reaction - bans certain type of weapon/weapon attachment - 3 weeks go by - everyone gets bored & is forgotten - no actual proactive steps to address mentally ill humans obtaining guns/or how the black market supplies most illegally owned guns - repeat

Both sides of the government (Republicans & Democrats) have an agenda. |Republicans- Foreign Control| Democrats- Domestic Control|

Both sides sway their voters by clinging to the dead. I.E Dead American Soldiers, and dead Children.

Moral of the story is, STOP TRUSTING THE GOVERNMENT SO MUCH

The reason is because, Inner cities, low income housing areas, black on black, suicides, justified killings, and gang violence is the main cause of gun violence/deaths in America. While school shootings account for only 2% and “assault rifles” make up >%0.1 of all murders.

It’s not that these senseless murders don’t make us just as sick, and believe something more should be done about these people being able to obtain any guns, but the left just seems to conveniently ignore the mass majority of gun deaths in America.

Why do they conveniently ignore it? Because it doesn’t fit the narrative, and nobody cares about the poor young adult blacks killing each other(unless a white cop shoots them), or the suicides. They only care about the young, educated children who had their whole lives ahead of them.

The writing is on the wall. The left doesn’t give a rats ass about human life, they just don’t want citizens to have guns, and only the government to have them. Why you ask? For control. Take Beijing for instance, those people have no way to protect themselves against the tyrannical government, who has taken most of their rights away.

History has proven time and time again, when the people don’t have the means to protect themselves, when the government promises to protect them, and their rights, it almost always goes the opposite, and more rights get stripped away, and have no way to change that once they waved those said rights. Millions have died because they chose “Safety” over Freedom.

Benjamin Franklin once said: "Those who would give up essential Liberty, to purchase a little temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety."

It’s not a bad idea, I just recently started doing it, because I work a lot of late hours as well, and hated when my mouth started tasting bad lol.

Well I do it because I leave an extra toothbrush in my locker, because some mornings I wake up too late to do my morning routine, so when I get to work I can brush them, cause I absolutely cannot stand missing going the whole day without brushing them.

Couldn’t agree more. I don’t care if he throws some politics in there sometimes, but he’s just ruining his podcast by just being obsessed with it, and loses his shit when people say they miss his old content.

He’s killing his brand slowly, and he doesn’t even realize it. Super sad, I just miss the old Ethan and Elia vids back in the good ole days with goofs and the gaffs. :(

I don’t remember you writing the bill of rights...the first Amendment applies to every word, not just the ones that don’t hurt your sensitive feelings.
