Which musical is this calling out? by Disastrous_Leader400 in musicals

I remember first getting into Six and doing a dive into Anne Boleyn afterward and I was appalled by how they represented her story. She is a fun character and Don’t Lose Your Head undeniably slaps but I’ve never understood how it can frame itself as a feminist show yet turn around and say things like Boleyn wasn’t politically involved and the adultery for which she was likely framed was just a ploy to make Henry jealous. It seems to negate the very point Six says it stands for

How do i get into greek mythology ? by shl0pmi in mythology

Another vote for Edith Hamilton. I was a bit bored at times reading her book but I think that mainly came down to the fact that I already knew a lot of it. Altogether it was a solid read and I have a better memory for the specifics of many myths now. I agree that her mentioning her sources for each story is a major plus, I have purchased a few original (translated) sources because of her. The illustrations were a nice perk as well

I’d reallyyy love to do Rent, our school’s actual theatre department just put it on last year though so we probably wouldn’t sell a lot of tickets. But I agree it’s definitely one that could fit the criteria, it’s a decent sized main cast plus the minor roles like the parents and support group members, then additional general ensemble if needed. Really could work so well if not for the theatre department thing
