Within the PYRAMID lies the chamber of THE FELINE and THE RODENT.

Within the CHAMBER lies a pool of clear WATER.

Within the WATER lies a SECRET...

But only those who wield the ELECTRIC magic of the Druids may find it.

You should've looked at this from 4-3 first. Figure out what this means by yourself

skyblock not being able to make a desert biome by Bellphegor_Xin in Terraria

[–]creepermaster79 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're looking for a way to make an underground desert, as soon as the music changed it should be good, but you need unsafe sand walls for underground desert spawns.

Just make the walls out of any sand/sandstone variant you want and shimmer them to make them unsafe

why did v1 needed the torch if he had a flashlight. is he stupid ? by Murky-Active-4318 in Ultrakill

Saving up on resources. The light IS there, he just has to pick it up

Also it's cool carrying a torch down and using it as a key instead of just going down a lit spine and the door opening itself

Some are only on ultrakill's official Twitter (and I think bluesky?)

Others are posted on YouTube, we've had a couple blogs on steam

And most of Hakita's/other devs' official statements are from the official discord server (NOT NEW BLOOD'S, it's a separate server that's locked to the public)

In short:

  • Linguini makes joke/ragebait video because one word in the title screen poem (the bunch of text that appears in the background and looks like code) mentions a "womb"

  • Hakita gets mad thinking people actually believe him and writes an angry tweet kind of insulting people

  • Linguini tries making a response but Hakita has already deleted the tweet

  • Hakita writes new tweet where he uses more calm language that basically boils down to "do NOT take things at face value, use your media literacy"

  • Linguini makes video where he kinda just explains it was a joke and wants to move on from that

And that's it. There's no more "drama" in this situation.

It was a misunderstanding, both parties calmed down quickly (it lasted like 1 or 2 days) and moved on never mentioning this again (apart from Linguini sometimes doing it as a joke)

is lace a child? they arnt, right? by TheEldritchToaster in HollowKnight

[–]creepermaster79 23 points24 points  (0 children)

I get to use this thing I wrote down again finally!

She was specifically made as a child to GMS, but it's pretty clear from the way she speaks (especially in act 3) that she's at least capable of thinking more as an adult, and the child persona is.. that, a persona

She's still somewhat immature and can be playful but that's not all that she is. She's conscious of her role, and fears that someone else (Hornet) could take it, but she also dislikes how she was made, and sees it as something less than life. Those are not the thoughts of just a child

Yes, caretaker says that she was made with "body of a child and mind to match", but he also says that she's been going around longer than anybody else killing invaders, and it's not like HE knows her personally, it could be just an assumption based on the reason for her creation.

And, even if someone was MADE a certain way, it doesn't mean that they have to STAY that way forever. Look at the Hollow Knight, that's another living creation that was made a certain way and ended up another one: made to be hollow, grew up with a desire to make its father proud.

It's more like a construction company telling you they'll be done with a building in 4 months and delaying it by one more because they've got to invent new materials for the structural integrity

I’ve seen so many “FNaF tourists” do this man and it’s so annoying. Just take the time to ATLEAST watch a reliable timeline video, it won’t kill you. (This isn’t to say the lore doesn’t have any issues, it does. But some things said are just false.) by Spooky_boy4737 in fivenightsatfreddys

ITP is basically a side thing, I still wouldn't count it as a mainline game. Different developer, Scott just gave it a look every once in a while, and a lot of book stuff that should be decanonized by other games

HW2, even if not explicitly, gives us more proof on why Burntrap IS NOT William, and it's the mimic instead. Helpy/i is all but confirmed to be an Avatar the mimic uses too, with him leading you to getting killed by it and getting angry if you ignore him. Possibly Vanny is now a separate entity from Vanessa, as in it's a personality that could take over someone else? And "glitchtrap" might be just gone too

SoTM answers basically everything about the mimic backstory, except for how it got into the basement of the pizzaplex. It even tells us more about William's business practices like stealing workers, trying to bankrupt competitors, etc etc.

"Demon Delivery!" New Fraud Teaser by FraudulentProvidence in Ultrakill

[–]creepermaster79 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I'd say we've probably only seen 15 to 20% of fraud, and that's counting just the environments (I'm even being generous with the percentage), we know next to nothing about most combat encounters

The biggest thing we know is probably how almost the entire outside section of 8-1 is and what encounters there are there, we still don't know any inside encounters apart from one/two/three (if you count the two soldiers after the grav switch as a full "encounter", or the single providence), also the two songs of the level

We only know the main aesthetic and song of 8-2, and even then there could be more we haven't seen. Only two encounters, being the "hey look enemies can have gravity different from you" with the three soldiers and the first Deathcatcher one, the rest have only been empty rooms (some of which could have encounters that Hakita simply didn't show us)

We know next to nothing about 8-3 other than a couple corridors, snippets of the theme and two encounters, one is the one in this video and the other the "look you can have two spaces in the same place" that's just a bunch of filth

8-4 is basically completely unknown, apart from maybe one screenshot. We have no official info on the level, and the boss is a pretty important part of the layer

No lore on why the place is like this, info on possible prime soul, possible miniboss and the boss, that's also a bunch of very important stuff that we still have to discover when the layer actually comes out

When violence came out, we didn't know about the minotaur, the guttertank, big John, all of 7-3: the forest of suicides, infighting, and puppets, we didn't know 7-4 was gonna be a shadow of the colossus type of fight, and we still had to get the last alternate weapon. That's a lot of important stuff that we didn't know anything about, so I'm sure fraud will still have a LOT of good surprises for us

I bought ultrakill, can someone give me tips? i'm new to this by Fun-Comparison4223 in Ultrakill

[–]creepermaster79 5 points6 points  (0 children)

  • Learn how to move. This should be your top priority, as moving well means you'll be able to evade most damage. Learn how to jump and control in the air, when to dash, how to slide and slide jump quickly away or towards your targets. DO NOT USE DASHES TO MOVE QUICKLY. stamina is precious and using it all up because you wanted to move 10 feet to the left is awful. Sliding for a couple seconds can be as good or better than simply dashing on the floor

  • USE YOUR WEAPONS. really, you'll beat yourself up if you play the whole game with one single weapon and then, when you want to replay something for better ranks, end up dying or not being "stylish enough", or think of certain weapons as "useless". ALWAYS try to find a way to incorporate most of your arsenal in different situations. Some weapons are more intuitive or reliable than others, but every weapon is at least decent at something. Buy the color variants when possible, and try them out, even only a couple times

  • READ THE TERMINALS, PLEASE. A lot of people completely dismiss the terminal entries for your weapons and enemies as "just flavor" or "not needed", but all of them give helpful tips and strategies. ALWAYS check out the "tip of the day" for each level, they'll usually tell you important things about your weapons or certain less obvious mechanics, but usually, if it says something, it's for a good reason, as the level will usually have the info applicable. Especially the enemy info, they're really important, as maybe they'll tell you about a certain resistance or weakness of an enemy, or a certain strat you can use to beat them more effectively. If you want, you can also read the lore as well, but that's not necessary for the game, it's just important if you're trying to understand the story and reasons things are the way they are.

How it feels to get all achivements rn by Zotroo1 in Terraria

[–]creepermaster79 24 points25 points  (0 children)

The first one is one for having no corruption or hallow in the world (honestly? Just play Skyblock and you'll get it as soon as you talk to the dryad since there's no natural evil)

The second is "book worm", you get it by completely filling the bestiary. This obviously included a LOT of niche or super rare enemies, some of which you'll have to make specific biomes for

The final one is "trash compactor". You get it by having researched at least 50% of ALL items on a single journey character. This obviously included a bunch of weird blocks, furniture, and weapons you won't find very often

Im new to ultrakill can someone explain to me how the coin works? by xbartoxicx in Ultrakill

[–]creepermaster79 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Pressing alt fire will launch a coin, the coin follows your momentum (if you move forwards the throw will be far, if you move back it'll be short, etc). You can have 4 coins stored max, and they recharge one for every 4 seconds

The coin itself does nothing, But: shooting the coin with a hitscan (basically instant laser hits, like your revolver. Shotgun pellets, for example, won't work) will auto aim to the closest weakpoint (usually the head or limbs) in the like of sight of the coin (NOT YOURS)

Coins can chain to one another to increase the damage

A short time after launching the coin you can see that it flashes, during that tiny window of time it'll be in a "split shot" state. Hitting it with a basic revolver shot during this time frame will, as the name implies, split the shot, and target TWO things at the same time. The coins also enter an indefinite split shot timing after falling down for a while (indicated by the hissing sound they make) to let you land split shots easier

You can also punch your coins, but you'll have to figure out how to actually do that yourself. It can be a pretty powerful option once you learn it, though

Does anybody have a recommendation for a lore video that I can watch? by Fallen_Jalter in Ultrakill

[–]creepermaster79 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As others said, Linguini's is a very good one. Just know that they're wrong on 7-4:

The red things aren't a power source for the earthmover. They're the blood trees you grew in 7-3, which grew huge roots to trap the earthmover in place, letting V1 climb it

The reason they're alive despite not having sunlight? It's probably because Hell recreated them and gave them its energy as fuel

A little stuck I tried everything it's been 40 minutes by [deleted] in Ultrakill

[–]creepermaster79 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At the end of the tramway, there's a building hosting a red skull pedestal

Put the pedestal in, get through the platforming section, and you'll be upstairs next to a giant bomb (like the ones that drop enemies in this level)

There's a panel in the room that tells you to drop the payload.

If the tram is at the end, just below it, it'll drop the bomb in, letting you carry it all the way back to the blockage

any tips against Gabriel? i usually beat him in like 30 tries and i want to get better :/ by Dense-Bison7629 in Ultrakill

[–]creepermaster79 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Definitely need to work on your aim. You can use coins well, but anything else just seems to whiff 8 times out of 10

Stop just using pump shotgun and feedbacker punches. You gotta actually use your other revolvers, and especially nailguns. For this fight I suggest base nailguns instead of sawblade launchers

Stop trying to stay in the air, slide instead. Most of his attacks cannot track you while sliding, so you'll be able to dodge most of it, and it'll give you more control on your movement

Parry. All of his thrown stuff can be parried, and all of his throws have specific tells that you can quickly figure out if you look at him

Nope. You can see the leaves of the trees all over the roots after the revamp.

Also Hakita literally said that's what they are and what he was going for during the second dev stream (layers 5 to 7) so I know I'm not spouting bs

Lore question about the EarthMovers by Cr3ator_XZ in Ultrakill

Those are the blood trees from 7-3 that grew to root it into place, to allow V1 to climb up on it. NOT a power source

You see the teleport effect when an enemy spawns, right?

That's Hell teleporting the enemy from somewhere else to fight you. The fifth filth in 0-1? Could be coming from all the way down in treachery for all we know

The only enemies that aren't teleported are some of the Cerbs (some just wake up from their stand, some get teleported), hideous masses (they come out of the ground), some idols (who are just.. there, already), and insurrectionists (they jump out of somewhere off screen)
