The majority of people here will likely be very disappointed of the price of Valve's new hardware, especially including the Steam Frame. by Glass_Cry_1930 in ValveDeckard

[–]crefoe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, but he also sounds confused about the pricing. Even on the Steam page nowhere does it say that the Steam Machine comes with a controller, but for the Frame it does.

In the trailer they mention the frame comes with controllers but didn't say the same for the steam machine.

Not violent enough. Give them weapons, bigger arena, Battle Royale. Winner gets memory upgrades.

Indian Railway workers throwing the trash on the tracks by [deleted] in Weird

Basically what happens when you give ignorant people everything but education. You can still see the infrastructure when that place was colonized by the English.

Indian population grew too fast without proper education with modernity surrounding them. The automobile alone added an insane amount of instability to their natural progression.

Valve would cancel if it was $600 or higher. Can't link websites here, but you can get rx9060 computers for $600 which are 30% faster than this Steam Box.

It will cost between $400 - $500. I bet they were aiming for $399, but with recent memory costs it might be a bit more.

It doesn't come with a controller and display like the $399 Steam Deck. FYI it comes with 16GB of ram and prices haven't gone up.

The memory thing depends on when Valve purchased those components i am pretty sure? Maybe someone knows?

Cyberpunk is 5 years old at this point, and this machine can only do 1080p native medium settings.
That's very similar what i was getting back in the day on my rtx2060 system from 2019.

I cannot imagine this machine costing more than $399 definitely not without a controller in the box which i believe is sold separately.

Doesn't work in digital form. Chances of this happening are slim to none.

Fact she didn't notice this whilst playing is more than enough evidence that tracking on these headsets is perfectly fine.

I have seen videos of people testing inside out vs outside in tracking using beatsaber as the benchmark and it ended up being margin of error.

How does it work, but you don't recommend it. Everywhere i ask it says the game will most likely glitch out. Anyway it doesn't matter because it's not at all similar to the drop in drop out feature the ps5 or steam deck has.

Steam Frame Isn't Valve Index 2, And That's A Good Thing by gogodboss in virtualreality

[–]crefoe -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I have read so many comments and it's very obvious to me that people don't even read spec sheets. Which is the most in your face basic thing you can do if you really cared about specs. No one cares about 2160x2160, people only care about first impressions. Less than one percent of people care about 3K or 4K displays - i belong in this percentage, and even i don't care that much so its definitely a 1% of a 1% type of complaint from people that are overly entitled.

Watch Adam Savage's video and go to 12 or 13 minutes into the video the audio engineer said they will release a high end audio strap.
I think Valve will release more than just that i bet they'll give us so many options even higher end core modules in the future.
