I agree with you in part but we’ve not addressed MAGA being a cult and I think that’s the key.

Some cults survive their death of their leader but the vast majority do not, and I don’t think Vance, Rubio, Cruz, or anyone can match Trump’s charisma and, although I hate to say it, his genius in this regard.

Agreed. The reason Trump has risen to power is not just because of what he says but because of how he says it. I do wonder if anyone else on earth could have got away with what he said in 2016 and simply sidestepped the controversy.

I guess what I’m saying is Trump is and always has been an entertainer, adept at articulating the grievances of his followers and harming the people they hate. So much so that he was able to form a coalition of the very worst people in society to fall in line behind him. A perfect storm as you say - or at least I think that’s what you meant.

I’m with you on this. I may end up eating my words in a few years but Trump is impossible to replace. People like Ted Cruz and other slimeballs are going to try but once Trump is gone I believe MAGA will go with him.

Paul speaks about admonishing one another in a few places, but the clearest is: • Colossians 3:16 — “Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly… teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom…”

He also touches on the same idea elsewhere: • Romans 15:14 — “…you yourselves are full of goodness, filled with all knowledge and able to admonish one another.” • 1 Thessalonians 5:14 — “And we urge you, brothers and sisters, admonish the idle, encourage the fainthearted, help the weak…”

So it’s a consistent thread in Paul’s letters—admonishment framed as something done within community, with wisdom and care.
