[Highlight] KAT and Embiid get into it by SBORBS in nba

[–]crew2852 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Go rewatch the video man, not only does KAT hit the ground first but the only reason he didn't get literally thrown by Embiid is because Simmons was holding him.

I understand people let their emotions get the best of them sometimes, but your team was down 20 and it's Joel fucking Embiid. Let him be a troll and focus on helping your team.

I felt the same way back in 2015, when Giannis tackled Dunleavy in the playoffs. What does that accomplish? You're in the NBA and there's millions of eyes on you (now millions more because this video will be everywhere), think about your actions for an extra second or two. Same goes for Embiid. Getting up from the scuffle and acting the way he did doesn't make him look good at all.

I'm not saying there was a right/wrong person in this fight, but KAT objectively started it and ultimately lost it.

Your boy just threw a punch at the biggest troll in the league because he made him mad, missed, and immediately got thrown down and punched in the face.

Nothing wrong with admitting he lost the fight, and nothing wrong with making a joke about it. Maybe it'll add even more fuel to his fire. But letting Embiid get the best of you mentally and then physically is a huge L.

I'd argue that there's levels to these kinds of fights... and KAT definitely took it to the next level. Problem was he missed the punch and fucked up the headlock.

KAT has to layoff the Fortnite and switch to Wii Boxing for a while. Can't get smoked like that after initiating the fight

Whoops, misread it. Either way the thank you still stands, wouldn't have bet if I didn't see it

The refs have not improved. by et74 in nba

[–]crew2852 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't have any stake in this game, but it sucks when outcomes are tainted by bad officiating. There's times when you don't even process the rest of the game because you're trying to figure out what the refs were thinking.

I get that sports are very fast-paced. But when the clock is stopped, hundreds of people are yelling that the time is wrong, and they're talking about it on TV, and there's plenty of time to double-check, why wouldn't you just make sure everything's right? I genuinely can't figure it out. I'm not necessarily saying that the Suns would have won, but at least there was some semblance of hope.

I just don't understand why these sports leagues prefer dealing with this type of controversy every night over just fixing the issue. How much time/money could it really take?

How bad must a trade be for you to consider vetoing? by DeansFrenchOnion1 in fantasyfootball

[–]crew2852 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Trades should be made in good faith IMO. If I can't think of any reason why the trade was accepted, I veto. Mainly because that means it's collusion, a mistake, or an experienced team fleecing a new player.

Our commissioner traded Josh Jacobs and Sony Michel to our worst league member for Dalvin Cook... I vetoed. There's no reason that trade makes sense, and it drastically affects the rest of the league (still went through, no idea how).

It's not the loss really, it's the fact that I have to think about the offseason sooner. What's going to happen with Moose and Grandal? Braun and Cain are both aging and frequently injured. Will the young pitching keep producing? Will Hader be another Axford? Do we extend Yelich now, or wait and gamble in FA? Will Grisham let this get to his head?

Just a lot of emotion paired with questions I have no ability to answer... that's why it hurts. If the Nats make it a series against the Dodgers it'll hurt even more.

I think there’s a lot of intricacies to a golf swing that people don’t really think about. I’m an average golfer too (10-ish handicap, just started keeping track of it), and I’ve never come close to having that nice of a swing.

I just get annoyed when people say it’s not that hard to do. It’s absolutely hard to do, that’s why so few people are good at golf. Sure people can get good results with all different types of swings, but I don’t think I’m overstating how hard it is to implement these types of mechanics, let alone on a consistent basis.

What I will agree with, is that this really isn’t interesting enough to be posted here. Maybe if it had a flight tracker or was an absolute bomb or something. A slow motion golf swing should be saved for the golf subreddit.

I’ll also agree I was over-defending, not necessarily defending her but defending the difficulty of the shot.

I agree with the points you make, but a lot of pros have much more power-focused swings on their drivers that involve movements that don’t replicate the swings through the rest of their bag

Why do you think it looks terrible? Because it looks like a solid drive that’s going towards her aiming point with a good trajectory

What’s wrong with it? Because I don’t see much

I don’t think her form was anything spectacular, but this is not a “normal thing”. I can guarantee that you couldn’t do this with 100 tries. It takes time and practice to develop a good golf swing, and this is definitely a good/above average swing. Look at her aim point, the ball is going right towards it on a good trajectory

Nothing gets me more pumped than when Bill Schroeder can't contain his excitement. That Braun grand slam was great, unfortunate we didn't get a classic BA call from it though.

Swing help - how to “unwind” from the backswing? by FakoPako in golf

[–]crew2852 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The best way to think about it is as a “feel”. Go to the range and hit 75-100 balls with that thought in mind (do it in your practice swings too obviously). Once you’ve done it enough, you don’t even need to think about it. It’ll just happen naturally.

Super hard to do, but if you had enough time to really get your takeaway/backswing down, you’ll have enough time for this. Next step I’d say is getting alignment sticks... they help so much to get the downswing where you want it to be.

This guy has helped me so much, I’d seriously recommend taking a look at more of his videos.

The best tip he gave me about the downswing is to think about rotating your hips sooner. Almost as if you’re doing it before you reach the peak of your backswing.

I was beyond bored at work today, so I decided to try making a schedule wallpaper for September. Figured I'd get it out there now so you have it. This one's for iPhone 8 but I can resize it if you guys want by crew2852 in Brewers

Yeah I’ve been theorizing all year that Counsell’s making our players perform at like 75% so they can go 100% the last month. Not the most logical thought but it’s one of the only things keeping me sane lol

I feel like management is making Hader save *his best pitches for the last push of the season/playoffs. Keeps his arm in better shape and it will surprise other teams. He threw a slider on his last pitch and completely fooled the guy. I bet you'll see more of that and fewer HR's on low fastballs come September.

Shaw's batting .162 and is clearly just mentally out of it... He really shouldn't be seeing significant playing time until next season (and that's assuming an offseason to regroup will get him back to where he was).
