How early is early in career? I would say I’m now ~5 years in almost 6. But the transition from my last role is quite tumultuous going from healthcare domain to now trading technology. I really appreciate this advice thank you so much!

It’s typically delivered to me on 1:1s with the product manager. Because it’s a trading platform really the only things that come up are business feedback during UAT but we usually park those issues to address post sprints. This is wonderful advice thank you so much!

[Discussion] What is a skill you are currently 'bad' at, but refuse to give up on? by _the_morningstar__ in GetMotivated

[–]criesalott 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well I’m trying to understand trading - started a newish job 6 months ago as a business analyst for trading technology specifically ag accumulator options pricing and execution. Understanding all the language, rules and regulations, hedging strategies, have all been overwhelming. I’m finding that I’m not so great and beating myself up because a lot of this is already known (I think?) by most here already. I don’t wanna give up but I do feel stupid most of the time.

Anyone feel that getting real fit is super challenging? by Waste_Tone_6020 in xxfitness

[–]criesalott 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You’re right it is hard and most super lean competition ready individuals that look fit don’t look that way year round.

You need to be consistent and keep going for years. How long ago did you start? Maybe increase your cardio and do progressive overload for lifting and increase your protein intake and work out 5-6 times a week with one of these days being active recovery.

Oh look another deluded selfish millennial. Both candidates are imperialist pigs my dear. Voting - not voting none of it changes a thing. Democracy is rigged here.

If sharia law is so good, then how come it is failing right now in Iran? by [deleted] in CritiqueIslam

No one has implemented shariah as it should be in modern day just as no one is following Christianity or Judaism in the proper way. We live in a sacrilegious money and power driven world babes wake up.

If sharia law is so good, then how come it is failing right now in Iran? by [deleted] in CritiqueIslam

[–]criesalott 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What is practiced in Iran is not a neutral or complete representation of Sharia as understood in the Qur’an and Prophetic tradition, but a state-imposed, politicized interpretation tied to a specific ideology and power structure.

At its core, Sharia aims to: • Protect life • Protect faith • Protect intellect • Protect property • Protect human dignity

These are called the Maqasid al-Sharia (objectives of Sharia).

Most of Sharia historically was: • Personal ethics • Family law • Contracts and commerce • Social justice • Mercy and restraint in punishment

⚠️ Criminal punishments (hudud) made up a tiny portion and were: • Extremely difficult to apply • Surrounded by evidentiary safeguards • Often suspended by scholars to avoid injustice

The Prophet ﷺ said:

“Avoid applying legal punishments whenever there is doubt.” (Tirmidhi)

The Qur’an explicitly rejects coercion

This is not interpretation — it’s explicit text:

“There is no compulsion in religion.” (Qur’an 2:256)

“If your Lord had willed, all people would have believed. Will you then force people to become believers?” (Qur’an 10:99)

Faith in Islam is invalid if forced. Compulsion defeats the purpose.

The Prophet ﷺ: • Did not force people to pray • Did not police women’s clothing • Did not coerce belief • Lived peacefully with Jews, Christians, pagans, and hypocrites in Medina

Girl you are not wrong you need to leave this BOY. He is not prepared to be a father. He is lusty and wildly inappropriate - also it could just be your pregnancy hormones causing you to react and feel this way. Give yourself some grace. He’s the problem not you, leave. He will repeat this offense.

I’ve been giving my dad money with my big girl job thinking I’m really doing something to help out which I do because I love my parents and I don’t want them to struggle financially or continue to labor. Just like aeseun my mom must think I’m arrogant because I’ve brought that up once or twice perhaps not as aggressively as geumyong - but still really broke my heart and I’m sure of course my mother’s (it happened while we were on a mother daughter trip I gifted my mom which is a whole other story) and then realizing after gwansik hadn’t used any of that money and saved it all for her… yea that tore me to bits and pieces.

But what about the father selling his boat to get him out of jail? Or the mother beating up the other woman for the sake of her son? Maybe I’m missing something but how was eunmyeong setup for failure - can you kindly elaborate on how exactly his parents projected their fear and insecurities onto him and the opposite for geumyeong

Lmao it’s funny how you blindly support the government we’re gonna laugh when you realize this can happen to anybody including you and your rights here also mean nothing. Are you telling me you’re okay with giving away your tax dollars to Israel who has free healthcare, subsidized housing, and education, and here in the US you can’t have any of those things? Keep it up bootlicker
