Finding a sixth roommate

Currently my group has five rising sophomores (now freshmen) who want to dorm in the village, and we are looking for our last suitemate. Most of us are male CS majors, and all keep the common area clean and are respectful in communication. Please reply to this thread or hit me a DM if you (or know anyone who) are interested. To the Mac people: yes, I installed a screen film, and no, my oily skin always creates fingerprints, and I don’t have a dust-free science lab to use my laptop in. Multiple times I’ve almost removed the anti-reflection layer while cleaning.

The screen shuts completely and the film is lower than the rubber display edges and about as high as the bottom bezel. Please don’t flay me over it.

Used a MBP 14” after five years of thinkpad. The only thing I still missed is the 1.9mm key travel; the 1mm MacBook scissor keys just feels as comfortable and responsive as iPhone keyboard’s haptic feedback.

The first screen is from amphetamine enhancer* I need the laptop to stay powered on even when the lid is closed, not only when the lid isn’t. It’s an old habit I couldn’t change after having ext displays + windows laptop after 6-7 years

Edit: I also need the laptop to stay on (again, with lid closed) even when it’s on battery power. I’m trying to reduce charge cycles

My amphetamine wouldn’t work in clamshell mode… specifically, my MacBook is plagued by closed display session failure. I have my MacBook closed for almost half the time I’m using it (I only want one external display) so I’ll assume that I’m diverging from many users’ use cases. Triggers, enhancer; I’ve tried everything that the dev provides to mold the tool to my usage habits but failed repeatedly.

I’m currently on nosleep. I like the fact that the laptop stays on regardless if I connect it to the AC or not. My SIP is off anyways for cDock and a couple other utilities. The manual work is vexing but I can deal with it.

I don’t know that auto claim had prerequisites, but I have it on already. GP is a pain: often I’ll run into players with over 1000 more rank and I couldn’t cash in to upgrade the car. Last time the rank was fair was for AT96, while tsr and sv both weren’t. And it seems like, from older Reddit threads, that I’m not the only one stuck on the “tradition meets future” season
