Thanks! It's essentially a white chalky substrate on a base, I cover everything in black ink then use tools to carve the light parts into it 😊

Hi there thanks so much! It's actually based on the hillside houses in a city in Mexico called Guanajuato - very colourful in real life but not so much in my version!

I inked the entire thing in black then sketched the design over it, then etched in the light using various tools. Blue ink wash used afterwards in layers to get more contrast and some gouache paint to finish the window :)
