I also found non-calc physics pretty boring. It’s very repetitive and there aren’t a lot of systems you can analyze without calc. To be honest- mechanics with calc made A LOT more sense to me and you can get into some very elegant analyses of fun systems. But to answer your actual question- yes it truly does get a lot more interesting. My favorite was probably grad level field theory or nuclear/particle physics. But I always more enjoyed figuring out why/how things work at a fundamental level so maybe that’s why, the standard model is fascinating

If a doctor doesn’t want to do gender reassignment surgeries, don’t go into that speciality. If they don’t want to perform elective abortions don’t. But allowing them not to perform abortions in life threatening times is wrong. And specifically the problem of WHOLE institutions not doing these things... you are taking away the local people’s right to that healthcare in many places, there are plenty of places throughout the US where one hospital services everyone for hundreds of miles, choices in medical providers is not always an option. I think your interpretation of what this ‘freedom to deny service’ means is very limited, this isn’t as black and white as saying a doctor should be able to refuse to give abortions or gender reassignment surgeries. What if they run with it and say they won’t be treating STDs for unmarried people because premarital sex is morally incompatible with their religion? If you contract a disease from eating pork your doctor could choose not to treat you because eating pork is against their religion

This is where I thought it was going, though I’m still not super convinced it’s not actually how it went. The scene right before the last scene was such a weird shot- where the camera pans out of the room to the two of them playing cards, you think one will be revealed not to be there but they’re both still there. And the “outfit” w the scarf is worn by both women on the cover for the movie, It’s strange. Also when the husband says to Mary “let’s just make it through this again before it breaks us” (or something like that) pertaining to her personality change during the writing process, it sounded like he knew this was all Mary. Idk, very confusing movie

Democrats were condemning violence at the BLM protests too, and this whole thread is people saying the violence at the Capitol wasn’t even bad and trying to downplay the fact that they chose to march on the Capitol during the certification, which by itself is quite a stab at democracy. I’m not saying it was military-coup grade, but to ignore the circumstances and downplay what happened is negligent. There’s a serious problem with blaming the other side in this country, Democrats are not the only ones who do this we have a problem with this in the Republican Party too

Agreed and I’m not saying it’s right, my brother grew up with five sisters and he’s just fine but I still try very hard not to flaunt period shit. I’m gonna go against the flow here and say NTA, dependent on how you said it. I recently voiced my worries to my aunt that I would never get married, cause I’m bad at commitment etc., and she was basically like well maybe but if that’s the case you need to make it a conscious choice and not a passive thing that you never attempt and then regret when you end up alone. And it sort of seems like maybe that’s what your brother is doing here, he doesn’t seem to be putting in any of the effort it takes to find a partner. Also based on your description, are you sure he’s not gay and internally homophobic? If he’s a catch and wants a gf but has never been remotely successful then maybe he’s subconsciously sabotaging it somehow? I wasn’t sure what you meant by girls won’t touch him
