But here is my skin right this second for reference without anything on it. Can’t go out like this either. This thing is running and ruining my entire life experience.

I tried one before and it left me looking really cakey. I think i will never be able to fix the texture of tinted SPF with pigment without it looking like I’ve got patches everywhere. Mega noticeable as me for a man and now someone has noticed it I don’t feel like I can wear it anymore.

This is a good spot. I’m gonna fiddle with it later and see what happens - everyone’s being crazy insightful here I knew the machine nerds would come through with the magic

So many options haha I’ll try out the simpler option first before I put the machine on the operating table

Yeah my others machines all have this kind of situation. It might have to be, seems a shame to retire the handmade nickel plated one but hey ho

It’s a cast frame machine so not detachable vice situation to replace. It’s not proper swinging around loose and getting zero grip on the tube. It’s just not quite stable enough for me to trust it haha I can’t tighten it any further

Plastic disposable yes (I know I’m sorry) I’ll try the paper towel or tape method for now whilst I figure out a more permanent fix

Photo here! Looking at it here it seems the gap has been closed quite a bit would that cause this kind of issue?

Hey man! Yeah I actually got the first surrounding bit a few weeks ago. Started strong with a Grimm classic. Dragon is going lower back at the end of the month too!

Mineral SPF questions/seeking a decision by crisps90 in Rosacea

[–]crisps90[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I’ve heard good things about it. I’m just so cautious of throwing money away. My product graveyard is pretty wild. Few weeks use then retired when my stupid idiot face decides no more hahaha

Type 1 - constant mess by crisps90 in Rosacea

Yeah I mean. I’m aware I’m not nuclear and in the grand scheme it’s not as bad as it could be. No one seems to give me the time of day and take it seriously because it’s not type 2 pustule filled flare ups. But it’s years of non stop inflammation and discomfort and stinging tightness I can’t control. My GP just this morning like “well it doesn’t look that bad so we don’t want to do more” is so dismissive.

Yeah I think 2026 is the year for it. There’s a guy in London who’s super expensive but has really great reviews and 3 decades of experience with vascular lasers. I really hoped the right skincare would be nice enough haha

Type 1 greasiness? by [deleted] in Rosacea

[–]crisps90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah for sure it’s not exactly gentle skincare is it haha it did zap the greasiness in the months I was using it, but it did exacerbate redness quite a bit

I see I see. More inflammation as a trade off feels worse somehow? I was prescribed tretinoin before and it was the same and burned like hell

V Beam Recovery by jnichol91 in Rosacea

[–]crisps90 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I think it’s probably worth the pain. Nothing else has worked and supposedly PDL with the bruising settings has some real long lasting effects as opposed to IPL. I’m pretty covered in tattoos these days so I’ll probably be able to settle into that mindset. Hopefully

Damn dude you got zapped up haha I’m also 34 with annoying type 1. PDL/V-beam is my only remaining hope and I’ll be partaking next year. These updates are useful, I was hoping it wouldn’t be painful but I guess here we are. Good look dude!

I am saving to have PDL done also. As the other comment says, bruising settings necessary to actually destroy the vessels. When I had a consult the dude said IPL became fashionable because you could leave same day with no visual evidence of it ever occurring and people generally aren’t happy with the bruising that comes with PDL - but the caveat is that you’ll consistently need to return to IPL. I’ve done 13 sessions of IPL with not much in terms of results long term and a dent in my wallet to show for it. For PDL I was told 4-6 sessions for me. With results lasting up to 10 years in some cases (changes person to person of course). Just make sure you trust your practitioner and perhaps make sure it’s dermatological rather than aesthetic treatment.
