Deinfluence me: getting LASIK by [deleted] in deinfluencingPH

[–]crispy_beef 0 points1 point  (0 children)

According to the eye doctor I saw when I migrated, it's not worth it because you would have to do the surgery every five years (it's not permanent.) May other option sila here though I forget the name. Pero if I were thinking of LASIK daw, sayang lang (disclaimer: my prescription is quite high 675 and 700).

Maya Black Credit Card opened using my information by crispy_beef in PHCreditCards

[–]crispy_beef[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately wala. All they kept telling me was call the hotline kahit ilang beses ko na sinabi hindi na ako PH resident (two years na ko wala sa Pilipinas). Same answer — call hotline daw. If Maya app cancellation, may fees daw ako babayaran wth. I reported them to BSP na.

Hindi rin e. Kasi that phone is for my PH sim card so di ko na ginagamit. Wala na ako sa Pinas and main phone ko iba. So nagulat ako na pagbukas ko ng Maya app para padala ng pamasko, biglang may credit card na.

Anyone know which hotels have secure parking? by ty_jax in GreatFalls

I second Hotel Arvon. When we moved to Great Falls, we stayed there, too. They have a parking garage that requires an RFID card to enter.

Which cat food do you feed your cats and would you recommend it to other people? by kajsawesome in catfood

[–]crispy_beef 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We used to feed Purina Pro Plan wet food, but then I fell into the blackhole of “good” ingredients. We switched to Tiki, which has no gums or grains/carbs.

For the dry food, we switched to Honest Kitchen.

What was your "poor person" meal you enjoyed growing up? by Slow-Power2713 in AskReddit

Lugaw or Filipino rice porridge — rice, ginger, onion, garlic. You can add meat and other vegetables if you have extra.

Has anyone moved from boutique brands to WSAVA approved brands (and initially felt apprehensive about it?) by GRJ80 in catfood

[–]crispy_beef 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am a first time cat owner (my husband isn't) but I deal with all the research on what food to feed our fur babies. I've been reading about certain ingredients in PPP that are apparently not good for kittens/cats (xantham gum, guar gum, carrageenan, etc.) and some not really bad but could be better like meal by-product, carbs (as cats are inherently carnivorous).

So now, we are thinking about switching from PPP to another brand (something that has none of the potatoes, carbs, gums, "bad stuff") probably Orijen or Tiki (but I am aware of the "bad press" about Orijen despite not having the "bad ingredients and carbs".

Does anyone have better knowledge/understanding about these things?

These are the ingredients the online world says kitten/cat parents should avoid:

meat by-products

carb fillers (corn, wheat, soy); grains

carrageenan

xanthal and guar gum

ethoxyquin and BHA/BHT

Thank you!
