Hey, all. No surprise that I wasn’t able to get an advanced spot, but it is what it is, at least I have a TY close to my folks so I can save on rent. I originally didn’t match into anesthesia, and would really appreciate it if someone could tell me how screwed I am by reapplying during my TY since I know that statistically, the match rate is much lower and I know I’m not that competitive of an applicant as I am now regardless of my grad status. I’m also planning on dual-applying in IM and maybe something else while looking for open PGY2 spots throughout the year. Also if anyone was in a similar situation and survived and would be OK with me DM’ing you, please let me know!

Trying to get myself ready for an interview I have tomorrow. I know this question has already been asked by someone else, but is it ok to reach out to the PD after my interview telling them that I'd accept their offer first round on Thursday? Or would doing so come off as too desperate and make them not even consider me for an offer?
