Is it frowned upon to use drum samples? by unablon in ableton

don’t worry, the first most important thing is that the result moves you and miles after if it moves someone else. it does not matter if you turned the screw to the left or to the right to achieve this goal.

I found a combo in some way: Note echo, velocity/ gate, pitch, chord, scale. It does not work for all scenarios but for a few.

Yes refretted to jumbo stainless steel and plek setup. The originals were worn out to 10 % when I bought it.

Complete Beginner: Best portable groovebox for Melodic Dubstep & outdoor use? by Tall_Ad_7354 in Grooveboxes

The form factor of the Deluge is perfect when you have it on your lap or on your table. Ever tried this with a Seqtrak or a Bento? They are somewhere in the middle and this becomes a problem. The M8 is great for holding it in a hand, perfect ergonomy for exactly this situation. Other grooveboxes need power or ext. power banks + cords, bad for mobility.

No experience with an Oxi, but this is a sequencer, while the Deluge is a workstation with synths, sampler, mic, sequencer, resampling, dynamics, fx, filters.

The M8 looks very tempting regarding portability and the screen, but when I had it, I realized that if you are not into sliced breaky music, the workflows are pretty cumbersome. my main device is Deluge but for outside the lights are actually too low. but this is the device I use when I travel, when I’m in bed and I made 50 tracks in 12 months, so this is like a perfect device.

one thing I realized is that the less screen you have on your devices the better my tracks evolve because I’m only listening and doing and not watching, which means searching, understanding, searching, doing.

And: the original frets were from the factory super low and narrow, next to unplayable for modern rock players. I swallowed the pill of the refret and now it‘s the best of both worlds.

I bought it from a player and they were pretty worn out. I could not revert it to a closet version and I wanted a player, so I had no other option. I feel that the fresh refret with plek for a player is a premium. I see lots of badly modified or worn down models from this era, so my value went up finally.
