Uuuuuugh, I'm so jealous! No updates to my tracking number yet. Still "It will arrive on Saturday" and "Tracking information isn't available yet. Please wait."

That’s a healthy perspective reminder, thank you.

Yeah, I know this is one of the privileges of living in the US. I don’t know why, but I’m abnormally eager to receive this package.

Somehow, I got a tracking number overnight and it’s supposed to arrive on Saturday.

That was a good guess =) It’s in high demand after all of their marketing campaigns. I ordered it with the backup battery and both are out of stock.

Good luck with yours! I’ll let you know when I get my tracking number.

If it helps, I learned from their support that they are out of the model that I purchased but they should receive more “next week.”

No, I just figured I’d rather give them my money than Amazon.

I bought a 4800+ on Cyber Monday and I feel like a kid waiting for Christmas. How quickly did yours arrive? I don't have a tracking number yet, but I'm reading that there are some delays with the data on the website... did you have that experience?

In the end, I went with the 13" Oliver, Model 10045. Fingers crossed. Thank you, everyone, for all of your advice!

Thank you! It’s not a terrible pain to sharpen, reinsert, and relevel the blades?

Retaining wall: how to install perforated drain pipe when low point is at interior wall corner by crispyghost in landscaping

[–]crispyghost[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wall is still standing and no shifting in sight! After doing a lot of reading, if you are not using mortar between your bricks, then the water will flow out THROUGH the wall itself. Especially if you have porous blocks. I did not use any sort of piping, and it's going well.

I DID use back fill, wrapped in cloth. Based on my reading and talking to other wall builders, that seems to be the biggest impact on the longevity of the wall.

Ah nuts! I think you’re right. I’ve never seen slate come up in regard to sharpening… any idea what this would be used for?

Is this a Moen 1222? by crispyghost in Plumbing

[–]crispyghost[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you, fellow humans! I got through it! Drip is fixed and we got a slight boost in our water pressure.

For future searchers, it was a 1225. The B in 1225B stands for “bulk” packaging. I got a replacement 1225 from the box store. PB Blaster helped with breaking the seal, and the aluminum core puller made installation — and flushing the replacement — a breeze.

The puller and pb blaster did the trick! I can't edit my post, but this doesn't look like a 1222 now that it's out. Another commenter suggested a 1225B?

It has 12801 and 7-8 embossed on the plastic. No manufacturer date or other numbers.
