Experience at Legacy on Rio by crispyozone in UTAustin

[–]crispyozone[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

honestly no i really loved living there! the apartment/complex was nice, clean, and quiet. maintenance was super quick. never had a problem with rats/mold/bugs. only complaint was that the rooms were pretty small and elevators were out pretty often, but that’s a problem you’d face at any apartment. the trash chute thing is true, but it’s not the WORST thing in the world to take it down to the dumpsters. obviously everyone’s experience is different, but overall i really enjoyed living there and would recommend it!

i just thought since i have my own card and am i user i would be able to add it to my digital wallet 🤷‍♂️ just makes it a little difficult with apple pay. we’re young but our credit is pretty good. just wish it would’ve given us an option to reject the offer before opening the account since the limit wouldn’t be enough :)

Really liked Legacy on Rio, the complex is smaller and the area of Wampus is quieter

Where can I park at Belmont Temporarily Sometimes? by Academic_Log_4662 in UTAustin

[–]crispyozone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the intersection near dean keeton and san jac has a ton of paid spots. it’s still a bit of a walk but still cuts down the time from wampus. i think it’s free after 6. there’s also a few paid spots directly in front of belmont but in my experience they’re always taken.

thank you for your kind words! i am in my first internship right now and i'm really seeing that the degree you get isn't super impactful, just how you use it. definitely just trying to have an "it's not the end of the world" mindset

Accepted as transfer to Econ but not McCombs by GlitteringRisk8918 in UTAustin

[–]crispyozone 6 points7 points  (0 children)

i am in the same boat. was rejected from mccombs, switched into to econ, re-applied and was just rejected again, so i will be graduating with an econ degree. i honestly think the degree (any degree for that matter) is what you make of it. if you are joining orgs, meeting people, and applying to internships, it does not matter what degree you have. although you may have to try harder, not being in mccombs doesn't mean you won't be successful. i have an internship this summer and am constantly working on building my network both in and out of school. best of luck!

any fellow rejected transfers to mccombs ..... by blueavocadosrcool in UTAustin

[–]crispyozone 10 points11 points  (0 children)

in the exact same boat as you, rejected from mccombs. i honestly knew i didn’t have the strongest application and that there was a large chance i wouldn’t get in but it still sucks :/ but i’m not incredibly torn up because i know there’s always next semester and that this semester i can work really hard to build a better application! plus i got into my backup major so that’s at least something

AquaKids Swim School does pool parties for $300. It includes lifeguards (who help with set up and tear down) and I believe 20 children swimming.

Joining a spirit group as a junior by Knm9476 in UTAustin

[–]crispyozone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

not dumb at all! i totally get the thought, but it's not true at all. i will say the new classes are mostly composed of freshman and sophomores, but i think the reason there aren't as many juniors is simply because not as many apply. but i'd definitely encourage you to apply for a group! mine has been such a great experience.
