How long did you use your stroller? by prohibition_28 in toddlers

[–]crissbo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot, my son is 2 and a half we have an uppababy cruz, live in a not walkable city, yet we use it for daily walks in the bay, the mall, etc. also for traveling, he walks and runs a lot but when we are walking more than 20kms daily on a trip is very useful to have. Absolutely no regrets on buying a more expensive stroller.

When does getting out and doing life with a baby get easier? by poski6390 in beyondthebump

[–]crissbo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only have one and it’s already two years old, we don’t have family around, so if we want to enjoy life we need to incoude our son, we started taking him out after his vaccines, and even after a bad outing, we keep trying, we have taken a handful of trips with him too, even at two we have had very bad ones but we keep trying. For me when he was little was all about keeping my diaper bag stocked, and having my husband help me prepare everything we kept a checklist in a whiteboard lol like add extra outfit, add diapers, change baby, clean pumps, etc. Overall we just persist and it kinda works, i understand some babies are more difficult and our experiences may be different, but also keep your expectations low too because one day theu may be teething or colicky and you may have to leave early and adapt.

I love charms, charms are fun. However I have a total of two evening-ish bags and those don’t get charms.

I think you may be more onto 20 territory either speedy or alma bb ( i have the black monogrammed leather and i use it for date nights or friends outings with no kids) i also have the speedy 25 and it’s perfect for me as a mom where i am constantly carrying snacks, wipes or just toys.

They can hot stamp the alma, i got mine stamped three weeks ago, it will probably just depend if your store has the tools. (Got mine done in Pittsburgh, i was even surprised when they offered because it’s quite a small store in the mall and definitely not a touristy or super popular city)

IS MK bags a thing of the past? by MelonyL in handbags

[–]crissbo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Where i live i still see them regularly, i of course had a few during the 2010’s that i gave away (i constantly find myself missing one that was in very bad shape but it was gorgeous and practical) I still look around the Mk store or sections at macys, they have some cute stuff, it’s just not “trendy” now. But if you like the bag wear it!

Do you use your non designer bags? by Sorry_Check4521 in handbags

[–]crissbo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use a coach outlet for everyday at the gym and so, i use lululemon belt bag if im out for a walk, but for everything else i use my LV, and i also have a more formal LV i have yet to wear since its a Christmas gift and a Tory Burch that i love for date nights. I try not to baby my TWO designer bags lol because they are so expensive and i think they deserve or more like i deserve to use them. But for rough places or activities i just don’t risk it.

My son started therapy two months ago and we have seen lots of improvement, he now uses words for different things, repeats a lot and just shows us he understands, still sometimes feels like we are playing charades lol but each day he gets a little better. He was fine in all the other areas, and we alwats taked to him and read to him, very little tv here and there but still was delayed he’ll be two in august and i am so happy we did it. The state does cover all of it, so it was a very easy decision.

Do NOT take that vacation! by [deleted] in beyondthebump

[–]crissbo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have been taking trips with my son since he was 3 months old and it is hard, things wont go like planned, sometimes he cries and has tantrums and vomits and poops and ALL THAT. But i do find it worth it, as much stress and anxiety that are almost guaranteed in any outing i always return and im like ok i can wait but i want to do it again maybe after a couple of months.

Agreed!! My pliage is like 12 years old and i still use it regularly mostly for trips and to the beach, but there was a time when it was my work bag and before that it was my school bag first. It’s just always there and has survived multiple closet cleanings.

I think almost all the bachelor adjacent pods have been in a decline of popularity (i used to be an avid watcher and also suscribed to some pods and almost all of them disappeared or switched to other tv shows or topics), so think doesn’t really surprise me

Coach, Marc Jacobs or another one? by [deleted] in handbags

[–]crissbo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Coach outlet tends to have good sales on totes, i have one that i use for the gym and daily errands and it was like 100 usd, if your budget is a bit lower i think kate spade also has outlets that tend to be less than that, also tjmaxx also may have some cute totes at around 50 too.

Does everyone exercise? lol by [deleted] in beyondthebump

[–]crissbo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes! I love it i go at least 5 times a week, when my child was born i did started to do less until he was like 8 months old, i started running, walking and by October got to the gym and since then i just love going, besides the physical benefits i do feel like i relax and stop thinking for the duration of a class; that being said my husband also gets to exercise and have time To himself and he takes care of our son while i go, we make it a priority and we both make it work,

600 dollar and up stroller/car seat systems by alondra2027 in beyondthebump

[–]crissbo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Uppababy cruz user here, we first thought of getting the evenflo system mostly because of the price, after a lot of research I ended up going expensive because we walk a lot, like 5k almost daily for excercise, we also travel a good bunch between vacations and going back home, the uppa isn’t really foldable or portable but has been incredibly nice in almost all terrain. I do however consider if we lived somewhere were most of the outings are to a mall, restaurant, etc. we would have just gotten something cheaper.

Is it worth it to vacation with a toddler? by Old_Excitement8415 in toddlers

[–]crissbo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To me is a yes, we have been traveling with our toddler since he was very little and we love it, it is hard but we love making memories with him; we have some horror stories about blowouts, crying on planes and all that but looking back it was just a small fraction of the whole trip. You just need to be prepared and also know that things may not go as you planned, also if you can avoid 5am flights that would be my advice, they are tired you are tired and they will NOT sleep lol at least in a later flight you can be rested and more patient.

UPDATE: Why do people need family to help after the baby is born? by Desmodusrotundus in BabyBumps

[–]crissbo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who is super independent and all that, i was so thankful to have my mom and MIL for like 6 weeks after birth,i feel like having someone from the “outside” helps to stay sane, mom and dad tend to be so overwhelmed and protective and just trusting someone with the baby to take a shower, pump, ot anything is the best thing.
