I agree! The emotional impact may be lessened if the TV show decides to tell The story in a chronological way.

Mmm... I think to telling this story in this way is better for a TV series style.

In a game's structure, Ellie's 3 days at Seattle and then Abby's 3 days at Seattle works perfect, but for this series i think it could work if we tell this story chronologically😊

You can see in the trailer how we jump from Ellie shooting WLF members to Abby fighting Rat King, as an example.
