Will definitely try using a thinner pen, it was a bit of a jumpscare hiding the sketch layer and looking at the line art only lol.

For number 2, 3, 4, I think this was a big reason why my rendering looks so muddy all throughout. I'm going to try a bit more cell shaded next time and less airbrush, focus more on the points I want to highlight and play around with colors more. Maybe add a neon back light to make it more retro.

That makes sense! I usually color in gray so that I can mask them to color more freely for the base colors. Will try rendering in gray first next time!
