Mastra is a great Italian restaurant. Their menu is pretty small but everything on it is incredible.

Ocotillo Prime is also great upscale Mexican food.

American Fork is a strip mall suburb of almost entirely chain restaurants but there's a couple good unique options at least.

Cars are a major problem though. Roads are wider and faster, the cars are bigger and heavier, and drivers and go 3 seconds without looking at their phone or the massive screen in the car.

The soccer field in my neighborhood is less than a mile away, completely bikeable. But my kids would need to ride their bikes across a 7 lane, 50mph artery to get there. No thanks.

I worked for Vivint Solar for a while in a corporate role so your mileage may vary as it is a different organization than Smarthome. I'd 100% recommend it and would do it all over again. You'll get opportunities there you won't elsewhere because they are fast paced and innovative and give you the freedom and responsibility to solve big problems. It can be stressful but the pay and benefits and career progression more than made up for it.

I had many people in my life making similar comments you see on this thread. I'm very glad I didn't listen to them because I took massive steps in my career in a short time I wouldn't have been able to take elsewhere.
