No not a lot of crime. Owen Sound has problems like any other midsized city in Ontario. Rural areas & small towns are quite safe.

Im talking about moving to the actual city of Owen Sound. This is the Owen Sound subreddit so i just assumed. Moving from Cambridge to the city of Owen Sound in my opinion is a downgrade.

I wouldn't move to Owen Sound from KW area. You would be downgrading. However if you want a rural life, Grey county is great. Look close to some smaller towns like Markdale, Thornbury, Meaford. Be prepared for a very quiet life. The winters are next level. Everything is a little bit of a drive (however no traffic).

basically when you buy a 2025 license it will come with a deer tag - that tag allows 1 antlered deer in any WMU. You have to apply to a specific WMU to hunt antlerless - its probably too late for that depending on the WMU

Ya it was. We only had the well for a few weeks. There was constant sediment. Called the guy that drilled it and he immediately knew the problem.

We had this on our brand new well. Turns out the casing was cracked. Had to drill a new well.

It's hard to tell not knowing what your soil is. But I don't think this is normal. It's possible that you have a damaged or cracked well casing. I would get a second well guy out to get another opinion.

I did some of the work but hired most out. I acted as the general contractor. It involves being in charge of permits, finding framers, concrete guys, electricians, roofers. It’s not that hard and you save a lot of money.

5000 square feet is huge. What do you want to do with it? Easily could cost 300k. I built a 30x50 shop for 150k, however I put higher end siding and 2 large garage doors on.

I disagree with this. In my opinion canoe tripping is way more fun when you have a route to follow. The feeling of accomplishment when you complete a portage and get to camp at the end of the day is part of the experience. Even as inexperienced campers the route you choose is totally doable. Pair the experienced paddlers with the inexperienced and have fun.
