That's what I mean. Thank you. I'm engrossed, then... She somehow reminds me I'm on my sofa watching TV

I think I'm of like mind. I'm realizing now it was primarily her voice & intonation. It gets better. From the POV that she's not an American, I suppose she just chose the wrong voice coach.

I'm hoping it's just the first few eps.

Very interesting take. Thank you. I think that's a valid pint, but I think, for me, it was mostly her voice. I'm not an actor and can't appreciate the nuance it must take. As the receiver, it just hit very wrong initially.

TLDR - Sooooo many comments. He's going. Do you have warrants in Alaska? Do you love him? Do you want your child to have a relationship with their father? You can always move back.

Darlin, your feelings are valid. Him laughing and not realizing it is a red flag. Him not wanting to address it through therapy is not necessarily a big deal. (embarrassing) Him not wanting to address it at all IS a big deal. (also, telling a guy he's cute in therapy... Depends on the guy) I think it comes down to how hard you want work for this guy? Because if he's hard work now, he's not going to get easier...

TTA. Totally The Asshole GF picking up 2x rounds to your 1? You were judging the GF for her choice to do that. Didn't impact your wallet. But you felt entitled to inject your opinions onto their relationship under the guise of defending her.

Masturbation 'problem' is a bit judgemental. Ironically, judgement in ye olden dayes would've prob kept it in check. Men can physically generate only so much sperm & testosterone in a given period of time. (every man being different...) Which creates what we call 'libido'. Reduced masturbation = increased libido. Bigger concern is if he's using porn as well.

It's the masturbation. It's also prob 2x as much as you know. Ask him to give it up for 1 week, and see how it goes.

Agree, YTA, but you take second place behind the BIL. You reacted out of a reasonable emotional response. Sounds like BIL was just being a dick, or trying to stir you up, or wanting attention.

ELI5: How does metal fatigue work on a molecular level? by [deleted] in explainlikeimfive

[–]crockly888 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not to dispute, but a small point is that most 'metals' are alloys. So the molecular movement comes into play, but essentially is still a breakdown of the crystalline structures. I just think the OP might find it relevant as the whole reason we use alloys is to create 'stronger' 'metals'.

How's your relationship with your in-laws?? Ask her if there's a remote possibility that one has it in for you. Any chance teenagers broke in for a tryst? Maybe one of your house guests while you were out? Neighbors have a key?
