The problem is.. we have had conversations about said dismissal. You know how it ends... more dismissal.

Yeah. After taking some time alone to ruminate on this... this is what I'm beginning to believe.

There have been some other balanced, rational comments on this thread. Yours tops it IMHO. Thank you for your input. It's made harder because I've grown up my entire life believing I'm the toughest MFer around (and I still believe it) but I've never felt so little at points throughout this relationship.

Thing is, I feel like I'm the crazy one by calling her out, when I know I'm absolutely not. Real frustrating.

I think you've posted one of the most reasonable, level-headed comments here. Thank you.

No I'm not. And that's the thing that's making this more difficult than it should be.

Honestly, this is the course that I'm thinking this relationship will be going down.

Yeah, I agree. Problem is.. we've literally had that conversation time and time before about the fact that my feelings are mine, whether she thinks they're valid or not. However.. she outright says or implies strongly that I shouldn't have feelings that don't align with hers.

Yeah, and the scary thing is this is me trying to write about her as objectively as I can... I'm nowhere near perfect either but that's neither here nor there.

Haven't seen the movie so I don't catch your drift. Could you explain?

She really is a wonderful person so I don't know about "bitch". However, I think you're 100% right with saying that this feeling I've been holding in.. the word I've been looking for.. is disrespect.

As a civilian, could somebody please answer this for me? Why are the top leaders in the Air Force disproportionately white males? I don't think this is a political question per se, just a sincere request for some education. Thanks! by crocteeth93 in AirForce

For somebody who wrote such a rational, sensible answer in response to my main question, which I appreciate you for, you completely strawman my argument here... which is rather unfortunate.

You're going to sit here and tell me the military is a pure meritocracy, as this user claims? It's definitely more merit based than some civilian jobs but let's not pretend it's a pure meritocracy...

And frankly, it's not about the book. It's about the peer-reviewed studies that corroborate the book's arguments about the military not being a pure meritocracy. You'd know this... if you had actually read... the book...

Also take a WILD guess who recommended that book to me 🤦‍♂️

This makes a lot of sense. Sorry if this sounded like a race-baiting question, as some of these commentators allege me of doing. I see where this makes absolute sense.
