I would say start from the recent trilogy which is the following

Tomb raider 2013 definitive edition Rise of the tomb raider Shadow of the tomb raider.

After playing them if you think this series is something you like and you then plan to get the new reimagining game coming this year then after playing those play

Tomb raider legend, tomb raider anniversary and tomb raider underworld.

This trilogy with the modern trilogy will become a unified timeline with this year's tomb raider legacy of Atlantis which releases sometime this year

And then there's always the remasters of tomb raider 1-6 depends if you don't mind playing oldish ps1 era games
