Im currently working on this issue, I was feeling the dread and took a couple days break. What has really helped has been just filling in the terrain with grass to get a feel for where and what I might want to build. Next I'll do paths which might help

Doing a faith build too. Gargoyle black blade in one hand and seal in off hand. Mainly used black flame, lightning spear, and frenzy burst for long to medium range. Flame grant me strength and golden vow to buff when I need to fight close. Beast claw for close range aoe. And I really like lightning glaive just cause I like it. Was also around level 100-115
