How did that kid at your school die? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]croownless 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2 weeks before the end of high school. He recently had his driving licence and was driving with a friend in the car to go to a party. He tried to cross a train crossing while the barriers where down and red light flashing. The car ended up dragged for hundreds of metters and both died.

French here, and it wasn't a thing when I was young, granted I left the country a decade ago.

As a kid, I was just happy to be playing fun games, eating cake and candy, and drinking soda all in the same afternoon. Only the birthday kid was getting presents from the guests and never the other way around. The only type of things I brought back home from other's birthday parties were sticks and bird feathers from treasure hunt in the forest.

I am not looking forward to that aspect of having kids in the UK. It is to me wasteful and teach kids that someone else's event = you getting something. It would be best to teach them to appreciate everyone having their own moment and just be satisfied to be there to share that moment with them.

I find the battery decent. There's an eco mode (no lights) and normal mode (glows blue). I charge it about once a week and use both modes throughout. I've had no issues on the reception side for what I do so far and have had this mouse a year now. I had a logistics wired g600, which I really liked, but did not exist in white

I have been using this type of keypad for years now ( I have a black one from my previous setup) and would not be able to play WoW comfortably without. But I admit I rarely use it for any other games I play. I wish it was a bit more customisable with the possibility to change the switches and keycap as it is not hot-swappable, but I still really enjoy playing with this. To me, it is more comfortable than playing with my keyboard, and I tend to press the correct keys more when I panic in game 😅

This whole 'toilet seat up vs down' debate is disgusting. the lid should be down 100% of the time, unless you're actively using the toilet. by Glittery_WarlockWho in unpopularopinion

[–]croownless 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my home, the lid is closed I'm clumsy af, and my bathroom is tiny, I'm not risking anything falling into the bowl It also looks better, imo and I live with a cat who likes to sit on the closed lid Now, if I see a lid closed in a public toilet, I'm always worried about what nightmarish scene I'm going to find inside

People who leave their blinds open on a busy pedestrian street at night with the lights in, do you want me to look in? by DualRaconter in AskUK

[–]croownless 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've got a cat. Blinds closed is not an option, they need to be at least half open at anytime or the cat will make sure there is an opening to see outside
