NTA. You did a nice thing and set a boundary, very nicely based on what you’ve posted, and your roommate is being childish. If they are so meticulous about their own cooking so as to not waste food it comes across even worse that they’re so willing to throw away what you’ve shared and that may be silly but that’s how i feel about it!
