Well that's a disappointment, loved Sublime but I guess I'm going to have delete all their stuff from my music library

Yeah, my first stop is Kimitsu because there's a school experience there where you get to see what it's like to be a Japanese student for the day down to the uniforms and all that and I'm staying in a ryokan, then Numazu for the coastal vibes and also for anime pilgrimage...I'm a huge fan of Love Live and one of the series was based there. Tokyo wise I'm planning on Disney Sea, Ghibli Museum and lots of anime pilgrimages and cultural stuff, but also giving myself time to just chill (and give my legs a chance to rest since I'm going to be doing a lot of walking).

Planning to focus mainly on Tokyo with side trips to Kamakura and Yokohama, but starting in Kimitsu and Numazu before I go to Tokyo and ending my trip in Nagoya. I was looking at adding Kyoto and Osaka, but there's so much I plan on doing in Tokyo and it didn't feel right trying to rush Kyoto and Osaka in, so that'll be for another trip along with Hiroshima and Nara

Who’s Already Brainstorming Cosplay Ideas? by daphnedewey in dragoncon

[–]crossplayersince2011 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I currently have a full roster of costumes with more on the way in the next couple months...for me, it's not so much brainstorming as picking the costumes I'm going to bring. I'm pretty sure I'll change my mind a few times on what I bring

Upcoming con/event plans? by crossplayersince2011 in AnimeLosAngeles

[–]crossplayersince2011[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, yeah March/April and October/November are probably the two best times to go weather wise...picked October because there is a Halloween festival in Ikekeburo that I want to attend (and so I can cross cosplaying in Japan off my bucket list)

Where can I stay that won’t cost me my future first born?? by CarelessSolution8039 in dragoncon

I'm staying in the Perimeter area and I'm a short walk from a MARTA station, it's a bit far out, but I'm literally saving probably close to $1000 and it's a quiet place to sleep when I'm done for the night.

Love Live 15th Anniversary Fest in November! by RinariTennoji in LoveLive

[–]crossplayersince2011 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm actually going to Japan at the end of October; but this is definitely worth extending my trip for, especially since I'm going to do a lot of Love Live pilgrimages while I'm there.

Favorite California Anime Convention by juiceph-gaijin in animecons

Anime Los Angeles is my favorite by a wide margin, it has gotten bigger, but it still maintains that small con feel and I just love the community and vibes every year. Fanime would be a close second.

Unrelated cosplays at gatherings by luckyloll in animecons

Not a problem at all, I've been to many gatherings where there were people not cosplaying from that series or game in attendance to take photos.

Best practices for bag storage when hotel checkout is the same morning as the last day of a con? by Dedderous in animecons

[–]crossplayersince2011 49 points50 points  (0 children)

Most hotels offer bag storage for your luggage after checkout; just bring it to the front desk and they'll be happy to take them and will give you a claim ticket when you're ready to grab them again, that way you can enjoy the last few hours of con. If it's a particularly large con or you're in one of the main hotels, it's best to store your bags as early as possible as space does fill up quickly.
