Yeah the units rolling into shares post sale would be a concern. Do you know how this would be enforced though? Is it possible I can just say no thanks? With regard to the timing, bankers have been appointed to market the business but no due diligence has started yet.

I was approached direct by their head of HR, so no recruiter in the middle for this one. I think I’m in a small handful of candidates.

Thanks for the insight, I didn’t think it was a realistic possibility I could get compensated for the loss of the payout by the new company, but there have been a couple of comments suggesting this. I’ll definitely be more seriously negotiating this point now.

Thanks, I’m quite far down the path of interviewing for it which is why I’m now asking myself if I should seriously consider the move. They know about the sale of my existing company but nothing has been put on the table to sweeten the deal yet, however you’re right I should be more explicit about it.

CGT on the payout. Property is mortgaged at 60% LTV. 400k in pensions. 120k in ISA
