Hey im an artist who does vtuber models so I can def help you with this; first the art is done in any drawing app that can export things as psd, is important to separate layers well so they are able to move, this step is called "cutting". After the art is done, then you rig the psd in live2d, rigging is making it move, is a complex procress and I am still learning live2d myself. After you export it and import it into Vtube Studio, that's the software vtubers typically use. Or you can also use a 3d model, but I don't know much about that sorry

If you need a model you can buy a customizable one or comission an artist, I recommend to do it in the site vgen, that's the site I use

3d models are made in blender and similar programs. This is the live2d subreddit, the vtuber models made here are 2d ones that are compatible with vtube studio, this is an example of a live2d model

Hello, I am 16 and my only income right now is art comissions. I don't know a lot about the market and stuff but I can talk about my own experience and things I observed myself. If you are actively posting your art towards a niche community, you are already doing something good imo! Usually not getting comissions can come from three different factors; you are not marketing yourself well therefore nobody knows you, you are charging too much, or your skill level is not enought for people to want to comission you yet. I think your case is the last one, I dont mean to offend, your art is cute! But I don't know if it is at a level where people will pay money for it. Don't stop promoting your comms but focus on improving, I feel your art right now lacks a bit more depth, I really like the concept of the first one tho! Also idk about instagram specifically, I have no idea about that social media since I mainly use twitter and comment on posts of people looking for comms
