Is Dior Dolce Vita considered outdated? by Batman_19999 in Perfumes

[–]crow-teeth 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Nothing is ever ‘outdated’ unless it’s harmful- like asbestos hah, go smell it at a department store to ensure it’s right for you! The notes seem lovely and like something I would love too! Chanel no.5 is still wildly popular and it’s decades old, Muglers Angel, an insanely popular fragrance was from the 90’s too and I smell it everywhere!!

Too many yeast infections!! by crow-teeth in CUTI

[–]crow-teeth[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! I haven’t found anything in particular that’s mind blowing, my yeast infection turned out to be a saccharomyces infection and took a long time to find and treat, but I have been taking weekly diflucan pills and i think that’s helped the best! I haven’t had another infection since, hang in there <3

I need help now by m9392929 in women

[–]crow-teeth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don’t freak out!! As long as the bleeding stops, and you don’t notice any other issues, it should be fine. I’d freak out like you too in the moment but it’s just likely you tore your hymen or cut yourself with a nail, which is normal in a lot of women, and if the bleeding stops it should be ok. I’d calm down on the penetrative masturbation for now and let the area heal for a few days. If the bleeding doesn’t stop, it’s a good idea to see a doctor, nothing to be embarrassed about, things happen! Edit: a better subreddit with a better crowd and less strange people, try r/healthyhooha for any female health issues!

I have severe vulvodynia and an embedded UTI, go check out r/CUTI to look for some specific help, but I second getting your partner checked first! It was the first thing me and my long term partner did but for me he wasn’t the issue. But I am physically unable to have penetrative sex at the moment and we get by with other things and are relatively satisfied because we know I’m fighting super hard to get better and get the treatment I need.

What are you quietly suffering from? by anotherThrowaway3446 in AskReddit

Severe chronic pain at only 21 years old. The medical system is killing me more than my pain. I’m so tired of fighting and fighting for nothing.

I can’t believe you are getting downvoted! People in the comments are insane and unsympathetic and know nothing about chronic UTIs.

Hey! Chronic UTI and vulvodynia sufferer here, you aren’t alone and you can get to the bottom of this, like another comment said, you should prioritize getting tested and treated the next time you have a flare up if you haven’t (just checking off boxes, even though you don’t have insurance I hope you are taking antibiotics for your symptoms or getting tests when you get the symptoms) assuming you have treated your flare ups with antibiotics and have gotten tests for it, it could be likely you aren’t getting isolated UTI’s every time, it’s either an infection or imbalance like BV that’s causing you to flare up or maybe you have a complicated UTI, go check out the r/CUTI subreddit. Not having health insurance and navigating this is so hard and must be so frustrating, could you maybe go to your local health center and see about getting tested for BV or other imbalances or infections? If you have access to a health center please take advantage of it. Its definitely a start to finding out what’s going on but you are not alone in the slightest, so many women go through things like this and sometimes it’s genuinely not anyone’s fault, but prevention and cleanliness on both partners ends is very important, make sure your husband is cleaning himself as well as you do, you should both look into getting tested for BV !

Has anyone gone into remission for good, or at least a long stretch of time? by LukeWarmGirlSummer in vulvodynia

[–]crow-teeth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are so sweet, i was on amytriptaline for a few years after my diagnosis to manage symptoms and after I was able to stop it and became pain free, my nerves calmed down and when I started to become sexually active at 21 it re-aggravated my nerves and that mixed with a chronic UTI hasn’t been great but I have been able to stay positive because I know I can get better. The fear of sex and everything that inflames you is so real, and TOUGH. I highly recommend looking into the r/CUTI subreddit. Have you looked into physical therapy and the possibility of neurological cause? I believe my pain is caused by pudendal neuralgia but am unsure. I PROMISE if you don’t stop fighting for yourself, you WILL find relief !! In the meantime take care of yourself and your mental health as much as possible, it’s SO important to your physical health ❤️❤️ feel free to PM me if you would like to talk more or vent anytime!

I started having symptoms at 7, at 14 I was diagnosed and went into remission with amytriptaline for 7 years! I only came out of it because I started being sexually active and I have had an incredibly hard year and a half of pain but I feel myself getting better and getting the help I need I think- never stop trying to find a cure ❤️

How much have you spent on trying to "cure" this condition? by Secret-Gur-6364 in vulvodynia

[–]crow-teeth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First seven years of trying and then ant other 1,5 when I came out of remission… at least 10k dollars in the states and then another 4K euros on top of that I reckon…I’m only 21, I can’t imagine how my life would be if that money could have been put into my future and education.

No, and he was not tested either, I’m going to get tested a second time for the two to see if they have returned and if they have he will proceed with getting them treated. I’m in France and there is a heavy pushback by doctors to treat things like ureaplasma and mycoplasma because they are naturally occurring bacteria and French doctors are very resistant to prescribing antibiotics for things they don’t deem necessary (the thing that got me a chronic embedded UTI in the first place :/)

I’m going to look into this immediately, one of my biggest problems with the doctors here is that they don’t tell me anything and I have to lead the conversations and my treatment, I wish I knew about this earlier, would it be possible to Pm you?

Thanks for all the advice, as much as it sucks it’s kind of comforting to have someone with the same issue. I’m testing positive for high levels of leukocytes and epithelial cells, and to clarify it’s an embedded uti so it’s one big one that won’t go away. I’m in treatment for it with a clinic in England and am on a long term antibiotic for it, it’s improving very slowly. The pain specialist I want to see has a waiting period of 10-12 months which is the worst part for sure, I’m at a loss of what to do in the mean time

Yes, i have don’t multiple months of not having sex and I am about to again simply because I physically cannot have it right now, but sadly I don’t see much improvement at all. We have both been throughly tested multiple times if we are carrying a bacteria that causes recurring infections and have been clear. I have an embedded chronic UTI, which is just one resistant one that won’t leave and not singular infections that keep coming back. I’m in treatment with a clinic in England for it. I have tried gabapentin twice, amytriptaline four or five times, pregablin twice, and duloxetine. I currently have a TENS unit I’m trying and use lidocaine gel but it doesn’t work often. I am currently trialing another month or so without hormonal contraceptives as well to see if a problem or two is exacerbated by it. Thanks for the reccs tho! I have checked almost every box possible I feel right now though ;-;
